I've seen the first 5 episodes. Let me start by saying that I knew nothing about what it was going to be about - although obviously given the name I was expecting someone called Ichabod and someone missing what would normally be a crucial part of their body to survive.

My friend and I agree that the acting leaves a lot to be desired.

Time Travel. This simple little thing in the first 5 minutes or so seemed to cause me issues. I think mostly because I was unaware of such a plot point, and I was looking forward to the series continuing in the time period of Ichabod, not transporting him to the present.

The darkness, evil, whatever you want to call it. I've enjoyed this so far; there have been a couple of moments where I have jumped, and other times where I have been completely creeped out. I also love the fact that it's never truly in focus, very unnerving.

Witches and witchcraft. I definitely did not expect it to be in the series, but I think for the most part it does a good job at keeping things going.

The head (pun-intended) honcho, the Headless Horseman. On the one hand I like how they've gone and linked him to the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. On the other hand, that's not the story of the headless horseman (at least, not that I remember).

My final thoughts: It's a good TV series, but you could have called it anything for the moment, there isn't enough focus on Ichabod and the Headless Horseman for me to understand the need to call the show Sleepy Hollow.

The Headless Horseman by himself isn't enough for a TV series unless it was only going to last a season.

Oh sure, I understand that. But my point is that this isn't the tale of Sleepy Hollow, so why call it that? The only connection is Ichabod, the Headless Horseman, and a town called Sleepy Hollow. The show is more about witchcraft and this lurking evil. You could call Ichabod something else, the four horsemen of the apocalypse could all have heads, and you could rename the town to Energetic Solid and no one would know the connection to Sleepy Hollow.

And yes, I do appreciate that it is just a name for a show. It just irks me when they do things like this.

Sleepy Hollow - John Noble to return for Season 2

Which is why we?ll see Henry at least three more times this season ? Noble?s next episode has ?a terrific script,? he says enthusiastically ? and why the actor is happy to announce that he?ll be back in Season 2.

The supernatural drama has cast? Alias spydaddy Victor Garber as Ichabod?s dad, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Details are sparse, but Garber will appear in at least one upcoming episode of the Fox series.

In the Nov. 25 episode, Ichabod spoke fondly of his father, reminiscing about spending time with him while the elder Crane was on holiday from teaching at Oxford.

    • I use it by choice but only for specific tasks that I have forgotten and it's quicker to ask then spend time wasted finding a decent answer on Google or coding a certain language. I prefer to use it. I do think that as it gets integrated into everything, when we eventually fully rely on it, I'm talking new gens not older gens like me, that we won't think for ourselves, I mean we will become lazy thinkers, lazy logical answer to problem which will go badly. But if we don't become fully dependant, we might be OK but I don't think personally we are going to be OK, not for the newer generations. Unless they advance in that space to the next level of intelligence where it can work out its own problems and create ideas for itself.
    • Pity the article on MS website gives no indication when said "20%" performance gains will actually be rolled out to users.
    • I just looked on my computer and there are settings and log files for utilities I have never even turned on!
    • O&O ShutUp10 3.1.1104 by Razvan Serea O&O ShutUp10 offers a simple yet effective way to take control of your Windows privacy. It provides access to almost 50 privacy-related tweaks, most of them hidden or not easily accessible to the average computer users. Using a very simple interface, you decide how Windows 10/11 should respect your privacy by deciding which unwanted functions should be deactivated. Using ShutUp10 you can easily disable Windows Defender, turn off telemetry, disable peer-to-peer updates, turn off Wi-Fi Sense, disable automatic Windows updates, turn off and reset Cortana and more. ShutUp10 allows you to create a System Restore point before you apply any changes, so that you can revert your system at any time if you run into problems. O&O ShutUp10 is entirely free and does not have to be installed – it can be simply run directly and immediately on your PC. And it will not install or download retrospectively unwanted or unnecessary software, like so many other programs do these days! O&O ShutUp10 Free and Premium The latest version brings O&O ShutUp10 Premium, expanding the app’s long-standing privacy controls with automatic enforcement of user-defined settings. Instead of manually rechecking options after every Windows update, users can set their preferred privacy configuration once—or apply recommended settings in a single click—and the tool continuously monitors them in the background. If Windows 10 or 11 re-enables disabled features or introduces new data collection paths, Premium restores the chosen settings automatically without user intervention. The free version remains available and fully functional for manual adjustments, offering the same core privacy controls for Windows. However, the Premium tier is aimed at users who want long-term, hands-off protection, adding automatic reapplication after updates, ongoing monitoring, and optional notifications to ensure privacy settings remain consistent over time.
