Xubuntu and Unity not playing nice 13.04

Hey Guys,

I have a fresh install of Ubuntu 13.04 on my Retina MacBook Pro and have installed xubuntu-desktop to get xfce4.10 and all the customisations. However some app are missing their menu bars (File, Edit, View, etc). When I'm on XFCE. They appear fine in unity on the top bar. - mainly nautilus and marlin are noticeable

All my googling says to remove Unity which I don't want to do as I want to keep Unity and XFCE on the same machine

Has anyone had luck running XFCE and unity alongside each other and having the menu appear for nautilus and marlin?

I had KDE on plain Ubuntu 12.10.But not XFCE.

Whwn I wanted XFCE, I installed Xubuntu.'nugh said
