New Build / Upgrade

Hi All,

I have a few parts lying around here so thought might as well turn it into a build and need your help.

(This will be used for browsing the net and MS Office Applications, No heavy use / gaming etc.)

I will be purchasing from ebuyer (UK).

What I already have:

CPU: Intel? Pentium? Processor E2180 (1M Cache, 2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

RAM: Samsung 2x 1GB PC2-6400 DDR2

HDD: 320GB SATA 7200RPM

Others: DVD-RW, Card Reader

What I need:

Mobo: I've seen this which comes with onboard graphics.

PSU: What would you recommend? I think 400W is more than enough? Any recommendations?

So, you want it cheap and it looks like if you've already figured out pretty much everything. :) 400W PSU is more than enough for your computer, even a smaller one would get the job done. Chieftech's CTG-400-80p is a pretty decent candidate (40 euros here in Finland ~ ?33).

I've seen cheaper brands at ebuyer but I think I'm gonna play it safe with the PSU.

One question I have is, the mobo has:

1 x 24-pin ATX main power connector

1 x 4-pin ATX 12V power connector

The Corsair power supply comes with:

1x ATX (24-pin)

1x EPS/ATX12V (8-pin)

Is this ok? Do I need to split the 8-pin?

You can buy splitters, unsure where you can get them. An 8-pin works on a 4-pin, just part of it won't be connected.
