neeldenn
Hey guys, I'm looking to get a new Monitor for my Desk and to use with my MacBook Pro 13" 2010. I'm looking to get the Dell U2713HM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824260111) I will connect the MacBook via MiniDisplay to the Monitor. Now I was wondering if the 2010 MBP will support the High Res of the Monitor? Thanks in advance :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1153338-new-monitor-for-macbook-pro-13-2010/ Share on other sites
djdanster
Is the graphics chip onboard, or do you have a seperate nvidia or AMD chip? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1153338-new-monitor-for-macbook-pro-13-2010/#findComment-595699766 Share on other sites

As far as I know the Graphics chip is onboard, should be NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1153338-new-monitor-for-macbook-pro-13-2010/#findComment-595699770 Share on other sites
Shadrack
If my nVidia GeForce 9400M on my mid-2009 MBP is enough to power the 2560 x 1440 27" Apple Cinema Display, then your 320M will be fine. Unless I'm missing something, it looks like it has a DisplayPort input and not a Mini-DisplayPort input. You'll probably have to buy a $5 - $14 adapter. Thanks, it's supposed to come with a Mini DP to DP cable from Dell :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1153338-new-monitor-for-macbook-pro-13-2010/#findComment-595706456 Share on other sites
