After 25 minutes.

If you are in a committed relationship, waiting 25 minutes for someone to text you back shouldn't be that big of an issue. Especially knowing she has kid. At the same time, she could have texted you saying she was having a hard time getting her kid going to sleep. But, women. Get used to it.. lol

Also some side notes:

You should have not changed plans after 25 minutes.. if you did not hear from her after 2 hours, you should have went to her house to make sure she was ok (assuming you are in a committed relationship, I can understand if she doesn't want guys around her kid until more time, but yeah this would qualify as a valid reason.)

If she is going crazy and ballistic over this, she sounds like she might be crazy and be careful.

Who cares, typical woman making a mountain out of a mole hill, tell her she didn't respond so you went to the movies, end of.. don't like? bye!

[edit] had a quick glance through the other posts, i wouldn't listen to a single one of them. This guy done nothing wrong, make a stand, don't roll over or you'll be rolling over for the rest of your life, if she doesn't like it and walks away then she isn't the one.it's a trivial argument that shouldn't really escalate.

QFT...

Let me explain how a woman that you are with works. You must be available at all times, at any time, on any whim. You must drop what you are doing, what ever you are doing, to be able to do whatever it is that they are wanting you to do at that moment.

I was doing the brakes on my wifes van, she knew this, I had it up full of dirt and crap from the brakes....she needs something from the grocery store and wants me to go out and grab it. By the time it would take me to stop what I am doing and get cleaned up enough not to muck up my car she could have been there and back. Another time I am doing something for her (again), she asks me to wipe my kids butt so she can continue having a conversation with her mom...again in the middle of crap. This is just a couple of recent times, but this will continue until all men are dead. If you have a problem with any of this, don't have a serious relationship with any woman as they all get to this point (in my experience anyway, my inlaws all do this wether they are directly related to my wife or not). When you decide to move in, video games will be a thing of the past unless she likes video games as anything that she does will require you to drop your video game and it will happen each and every time you pick up your controller.

Only if she's a selfish b****. I'm reading all this astonished. Now I know why it's so hard to be open and laid-back with men, they are always accusing me of playing mind games and such when I am not. Assuming I am angry when I'm not. I'm constantly bewildered by guys acting all defensive and flinchy the second any sort of conflict comes up... they must be used to this sort of behaviour... but some of us know how to handle our emotions in a healthy way and treat others with kindness and respect.

I know some of you have bad experiences, but don't tar all women with the same brush. Try not to be so bitter. Be open and honest and kind and look for a partner who is the same sort of person. There are bad men out there too. By your logic, all men are abusive rapists too, right? >.<

Just one thought that kind of close the thread based on the OP 1st post: You can pause a ****ing movie (or even download/rent/whatever it again) but not a relationship. Unless you guys were in a fight or something, you should see her.. After all, if you like a movie better than her, just dump her

Dude, I would have just gone to her house anyway. But then my fianc?e is my best friend too and I wouldn't want to see it without her. Seems to me you're just a little bit inexperienced with girls based on the need to work out if there's some kind of issue here lol.

Doesn't matter who's right or wrong here. She's always right, and that's just the way it is.

Apologize, maybe get her flowers, and then carry on. No reason to make a big deal out of a small issue.

I feel utterly sorry for anyone who lives a life so pathetically that they fall under the usual "she's always right" BS. I couldn't live my life under someone's thumb like that. My girl and me are 100% equal when it comes to the balance of right and wrong and respect. We never bitch or argue at each other and I can't imagine in my life needing to be the guy who posted on neowin asking for advice on a subject like this. Lol.

again you missed the part that has been obvious to me for ages.. Women think emotionally as men think analytically. I think we men on here can agree to some degree that if a woman is consistently offensive or offended easy.. men won't want to be around them and will move on. we are not afraid of having issues to coming to a compromise mind you, but if there is a pattern and we truly make an effort to meet a woman halfway and she acts like she doesn't have to make an effort.. we men WILL walk. If women can go out and look for a partner that makes them happy, so can men.

no man will allow himself to be burdened with a b----. we can handle once in a while, we are willing to meet halfway but if a broad is constantly putting us on edge... auf wiedersehen!

If you girlfriend was putting her child to bed 25 mins is nothing by the time they have a wash/bath,brush teeth and read a story time flies.Wheras to you who only has yourself to look after, 25 mins is your time to do with as you wish. Just because you or even her txt each other don't expect instant replies not all peeps have phones welded to their thumbs its an unreasonable demand.

If you wish to continue in this relationship you should talk together like adults and come to an agreeable understanding of what each of you wants from the relationship and as a reminder to you that her daughter comes first in her affections. She her daughter, is in need of guidance and guardianship from at least one adult so you need to ask yourself can you fit into this and make a family unit or is it beyond you willingness or capabilities to continue?

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • Nice, hope they *finally* fixed the issue with the NTFS driver where the system would completely brick during large file copies using the built in driver. It's been broken for years requiring me to use the older, slower, NTFS-3G FUSE driver.
    • Windows 11 KB5094126 BSODing, freezing, forcing BitLocker lockout, breaks OneDrive, and more by Sayan Sen Microsoft released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 last week as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. While Microsoft has so far not acknowledged any major problems with the release, some users online are running into problems. These range from OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, BitLocker recovery lockouts, to blue screens and BSODs. The most common one seems to be happening with HP systems wherein affected users say they hit 0xc0430001 BSOD (blue screen of death) error code after the KB5094126 update. We wonder if this could be related to the recent bug we covered on HP devices wherein the ongoing Secure Boot certificate updates are leading to similar issues. While we are not certain, users affected by this issue likely need to ensure that the boot.stl file is included on the installation media (such as a USB installer or ISO), if the above-mentioned dynamic updates are deployed. If this file is missing, computers may fail to boot from the installation media and could display the error 0xc0430001. This STL file is used by Secure Boot to verify that the boot files are trusted, so it must match the same Windows version and system architecture. To ensure the file is included, Microsoft recommends using the Update WinPE script, which automatically updates the image and handles the required files. Alternatively, you can manually copy the boot.stl file from the Windows\Boot\EFI folder on a Windows device and place it in the matching folder on your installation media before deploying the updated image. Aside from blue screening some users also note their systems have been freezing following the update. This could be happening to Lenovo PCs specifically. In the case of the OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, a user figured out that there could be a conflict with UAC. He explained: "Okay, so I did some digging, and in our environment KB5094126 breaks OneDrive and Dropbox in Explorer. I went through all our GPOs and found out that the combination of disabling UAC and having my user being a local admin breaks OneDrive in Explorer. ... If I enable UAC again, then it works, even with KB5094126 still installed." Hopefully, Microsoft will look into these issues. • It is when it's a desktop in my house though for a PC that's lightly used and not really important when it is. If it was a laptop, it would be a different story. The real solution is varied and begins starting at post #22 in that thread.
