Weird "bug" in the Start Screen

Hello everybody. I've been experiencing this weird "bug" in the Start Screen on my Dell XPS 12 where I can "see" my desktop like if the Start Screen was some kind of transluscent...

I can't screen it cause it won't show in the screens!

So I took a pic of it with my mobile... one can't see much but you can see my virtual keyboard icon and some of the tray icons. I can see the whole taskbar right from the Start Screen with this ghost effect...

Is there anyone here experiencing the same bug? How can I solve it?

Problem with your monitor? Burn in maybe?

try pressing PrintScreen then paste it to ms-paint (or whatever app that support it),

if it was monitor burn, there wont be any 'transluscent' in images.

I did try to paste it to paint but this "bug" won't show. What is a monitor burn btw?

Burn in on a newer LCD is doubtful, but could be a sign of hardware failure. Contact Dell. (Backup and 'restore' your system to rule out drivers etc beforehand)

go to ms paint,make the canvas as big or bigger than your resolution. paint the whole area a similar color. go to view, then full screen. do you still see it?

I get it on one of my LCD monitors. At the top just like the OP does.

does it only happen in the start screen? otherwise it has nothing to do with monitor burn in.

It's a known issue with your laptop model, what happens is that pixels displaying the same value for a long time (or similar ones) become 'less good' at displaying other values, and that way have a permanent ghost. Not much you can do about it aside complain to Dell, this really shouldn't be happening anymore.

Well, actually it's not a permanent ghost thing. It displays the actual image of what's on my desktop. For example, when I have IE opened, I can see the backward button. And when I have Chrome opened well, I can see Chrome :D

It's the way your display is handling a refresh.

Not really a lot you can do about it other than mess with the refresh rate or Intel's 40/60Hz power saving method.

This strikes me as a hardware issue since you said you can't recreate it by using Print Screen. Probably ghosting on your Panel
