PC is all I need.

I may consider a XBOX / PS when I get my own place again, but chances are it'll come down to whichever console I can get the best deal on at the time... and even then it'd only be for when I had people round and the odd title I can't get on the PC. Come to think of it, I'll probably end up buying a "banned" console because I have never, and will never use any of the online features of XBOX Live / PS Online (or whatever it's called).

In fact, the only console I have ever used online was the Dreamcast :D

Since the PS4 hasn't been revealed yet, I can't really make an opinion.

However.. tentatively, I still think that the PS4 might be the new leader, as the Xbox One has making itself to be a big entertainment/streaming device, like the PS3 was marketed as.

1st Purchase: "Gaming PC"

2nd Purchase: "PlayStation 4"

3rd Purchase: "I'll only need one or two platforms"

Wii U looks like a dust collector (No appeal to me, yet)

Xbox One looks slightly draconian so far (time will tell)

I'll definitely buy a PS4 eventually, but I'm not a day one buyer of consoles. I can't for the life of me understand why people line up to purchase a system that is at the point of being both the most expensive and the least useful . Why not wait until even the first price drop when a more extensive library of games has opened up? Not to mentioned a majority of those launch games will now likely be littered through-out games stores at a reduced price.

Although, these are the very same people that pre-purchase games with the promise of 0day DLC because it comes with a free -- usually useless -- item in-game that somehow negates the fact that you've never played it, reviews are sparse or non-existent and the game could be absolutely s**t.

Oh my, this turned into a rant didn't it.... Sorry.

I don't intend to buy them day one, but soon enough. I've been thinking about building a quiet browsing/casual use box and what's the point when the consoles will serve that purpose?
