The local policy of this system does not allow...

Recommended Posts

I get this when I try to log on to my machine, on every account.

I have tried my user account, and Administrator...

It happened after a friend of mine did something to the settings.

Now I can't log on, and I have no idea what to do :(

How can I fix it?

If I remember well, I've recovered this with "last known good" configuration, when you hit F8 at startup. worth a try.

Did that too, didn't work :(

I'll probably just put the disk in another computer, take out the data I need, and reinstall...

This will help you to get started. In the Recover console, you can run the 'logon' command and it will ask for the local administrator password. It will then search for Windows installations. Once you are in there you can run the gpedit.msc and make changes to the Group Policy that is preventing you from logging on locally.
