I recently switched from iOS to a Galaxy s4, I owned the very first Motorola DROID before I switched to iOS so I knew what I was getting in to and was fine with it, but I really, truly expected there would be a whole lot more decent games on Android. It really is a true mess. And there are a whole lot of crapware games as well (games that just seem to exist to showcase ads for other bad games), so I have to say I am pretty disappointed overall so far with the selection. Luckily I do not just own my phone for gaming, but if I did, I would be pretty disappointed indeed.

With that said, the games I enjoy the most, and think make sense from a touch screen perspective are...

  • Candy Crush Saga
  • Vector (awesome parkour game in style of Canabalt)
  • Chimpact
  • Zombies & Trains
  • Angry Birds Star Wars
  • Angry Birds Space
  • Fruit Ninja
  • Jetpack Joyride
  • Super Stickman Golf 2
  • Plasma Sky
  • Can Knockdown 3

Thanks for the awesome list. Totally loving the Zombies & Trains.

Have to admit Valkyrie Crusade - mix of the card battles (with complex level up system), campaign exploration / duals, and town creation, resource building / management.

For F2P with cash shop, so far is fun without feeling like you need to buy stuff.

No problem. That is one of my favorites as well.

I found a new game that may very well be my favorite Android game so far.

Whale Trail Classic

You can apparently download a free ad supported version of it called Whale Trail Frenzy.

I outright purchased it, even though it was $2.99 and I never played it, and so glad I did. I really enjoyed a game called Tiny Wings on my iPhone and could not really find a similar game to it on Android. Well Whale Trail is that game and so much more.

I happen to think the most minimal of control schemes work best on a phone (of course without a controller hooked up, etc.) So when a game can create great gameplay with just one "button," to me they have done things very right. Whale Trail really is an amazing game. Super addictive. Looks fantastic. Really well done 70's cartoon inspired music. Just the whole package.

Definitely recommend at least checking out the free version.

Another game I think is a great single button game and I did not realize they had an Android version is Ski Safari. Another great mobile game, for sure.

I only have a couple of games on my phone (line zookeeper and splice), there are a few more on my tablet:

-Berzerk Ball 2

-Gears & guts

-GTA III

-NFS Most Wanted

-Plague Inc

-Shadow Era

-Samurai 2:Vengeance

-ZombieWood

-Game Dev Story

-Osmos

-Shogun: bullet hell shooter

-Spirit HD

-Shadowgun

-AirAttack HD

-The Bard's Tale

Most of them I've enjoyed, some are there because of nostalgia (GTA, TBT), and some just because I wanted to check them out (namely Shadowgun, which is only fun for a while).

Jurassic Park Builder and Plague Inc are my favourites.

The former is a game for long term enjoyment as you build up your park over days/weeks/months.

The latter is fun trying to kill off the human race with various viruses.

    • Any decent ITSM will A) have a web form that allows a user to raise a ticket, if you're writing an email you can write a ticket. B) Monitor a mailbox and auto-generate tickets based on inbound mails for those users that really can't get their heads around the concept that if you have an issue you go to support.mycompany.com and fill in the box. From your description you're having users email the desk, and then having a human read each one and manually raise a ticket on behalf of the user.

    • I've never even heard of this browser before seeing this article. How does it differ from other browsers?
    • Fixing things? Have you ever tried linux? Everything works out of the box nowadays in most common hardware. This includes Wifi and Bluetooth. If anything, if they return back to windows is because they haven't found an equivalent program which often used on windows.
    • 18 months ago I bought the 4TB variant for $380 CDN. Now it is $1500 CDN [$949 US].
