Fans of DC Comics' Batman comic book series and Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins, should be aware that the name Ra's al Ghul translates from Arabic to Demon's Head. During the first season of Arrow, a possible clue to the villain was revealed when Malcolm Merlyn stated that he received his training in Nanda Parbat, which is a fictional city of DC Comics that's been a stronghold of Ra's League of Assassins in the past. The 5th episode will reportedly feature a character named "Awwal who is a Dark Archer, trained by Merlyn and [who] is after Lisa." The 'Lisa' in question is the new season 2 love interest for Oliver, one that was described as being "a mysterious woman with a tragic past. She will wreak havoc on Oliver's heart and is equal to Oliver in every way." If she was trained by the League then she'd definitely be a physical match for Oliver. The role of Lisa has yet to be cast/officially announced.

Arrow has cast its latest big bad for season two and it's one of TV's ultimate baddies: Homeland's Navid Negahban, who played the terrifying terrorist Abu Nazir during the Showtime's hit first two seasons, is set to take on the role of a new villain named Al- Owal, we can exclusively confirm.

And Awwal isn't just your average foe as he has major ties to a group of baddies DC Comics fans know very well, which also connects him to Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Oliver's (Stephen Amell) biggest adversary in season one of the CW hit series.

Negahban will first appear in episode five and is described as a formidable foe thanks to membership in one of DC Comic's most infamous group of bad guys. Meticulous, driven, and deadly, Al-Owal, whose name in Arabic means "The First," is after someone very close to Oliver. Oh, and the man knows how to handle a scimitar.

DC Comics fans will surely geek out over Al-Owal's debut episode's title: "The Demon's Head," which is the name of Ra Al Ghul, one of Batman's greatest foes (played by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins) and the head of the shadowy League of Assassins, which Al- Owal is a member of. Guess who else was a member of the League? Merlyn, who planned The Undertaking to destroy the Glades.

Season 1 picks up 5 months later, STarling City is in close to a Police State. Quentin Lance, Laurel and Thea get new jobs. Moira is now in prison. Felicity is "a lot sexier".

- DC characters "everywhere." They gave them the "car keys" of the universe. Bronze Tiger, Sebastian Blood, The Flash, Isabel Rochev are only the start. We see Black Canary "almost immediately".

- He's up to reprising the role of Oliver Queen in Justice Leauge.

- They needed approval all the way up to Christopher Nolan to use Barry Allen on Arrow because he's the big guy when it comes to "all things Warner Bros and DC"

- Says he won't be playing Christian Grey in Fifty Shades Of Grey; "I don't forsee myself being involved in that project"

- Says he'd like to play General Zod or The Riddler. Says Jim Carrey would've been great in the Nolan trilogy.

- Thinks that Nolan's Batman trilogy is the greatest in superhero cinematic history.

- Finale budget wasn't more costly than any other episode

- Says "No Comment" on whether or not Slade Wilson will be in present-day Starling City.

- There will be more hints towards "Olicity" becoming a reality.

- There was no pressure becoming Oliver Queen. David Nutter (who directed Game Of Thrones' Red Wedding and the Arrow pilot) told Stephen that he cast the majority of CW genre show stars (Welling, Jared & Jensen) told Stephen that he's the guy for the job.

- Who'd win in a pull-up contest? Stephen Amell or Ben Affleck? Ben probably could.

- "I've never seen one minute of Smallville", didn't take inspiration from Hartley. Took it from Gus from Breaking Bad

- The idea behind season 1 is that superpowers didn't exist. That idea is no longer existent.

Jim Carrey in the Nolan trilogy? Hells no. I love Jim Carrey's work but he would not have fitted in with the Nolan trilogy at all. And I've said it before, but Stephen Amell should not be in the Justice League films. He's not that type of an actor, imo.

I am looking forward to season 2 though because I believe it's going to be way better than season 1 and that season was already great!

Television news site SpoilerTV claim that they know the sixth episode of Arrow is called "Keep Your Enemies Closer" and will feature 'Amanda Waller', who is best known to fans for her menacing role in the animated series Justice League: Unlimited. Apparently on Arrow, she'll be head of A.R.G.U.S and set out to kidnap John Diggle. However, it's worth nothing that SpoilerTV aren't the most reliable when it comes to scoops and they have been wrong before, but with the Suicide Squad being introduced later this season, it's not that much of a stretch, especially considering that Stephen Amell noted how much leeway DC has given them.

And best known for her comic-book counterpart :p I kinda expected her to be in it but it was only a matter of time. And if they really are going to introduce Suicide Squad then Waller is a must.

According to TVGuide.com, actress Cynthia Addai-Robinson, another Spartacus alum, has been cast in the DC Comics Villain role as Amanda Waller. Robinson who played Crixus' lover, Naevia, will join her former co-star Manu Bennett, who currently plays Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke on the show. Manu Bennett was recently upgraded to series regular for season 2.

The role of Amanda Waller was previously filled by Pam Grier in Smallville, Angela Bassett in Green Lantern and CCH Pounder in the animated Justice League series.

Personally, she's just another pretty face and looks kinda young to play "The Wall" in my opinion. I was hoping for someone a tad bit older and more intimidating. I guess they're basing her on the new 52 version of the character from the comics which I guess makes sense for a show on the CW.

First Flash Filming Soon!

"We?ll have to have somebody by Sept. 30, which is when we start shooting [his first] episode. So there is that timeline. But it?s been a really exciting process just getting to meet so many fantastic actors and seeing the enthusiasm that so many people around town have for the character. It?s just amazing ? I have pictures of myself at age 4 holding a Flash and a Superman doll. That I?m sitting here writing the Flash and Green Arrow now, it?s more than my little nerd heart can bear sometimes."
