I want to preface this by saying that I really enjoy this show, but I have a serious problem with the last scene of the last episode. How did Laurel know that "the Hood" would come back that night at precisely that time; is that city really that stupid as to waste that amount of resources on having SWAT stay there for hours on end each night until he did show up?

Seems like that city is ran by morons; should have blown up city hall instead of the Glades. Of course, that's probably true for a lot of real life cities too

Serenity's Summer Glau is already on board Arrow season 2, and now THR report that her screen brother Sean Maher has also signed on as the evil Mark Scheffer, better known as DC supervillain Shrapnel. In the comics Shrapnel is made of metal and has superhuman strength and stamina, but it's unlikely that this will carry over to the show -- although he does share some of the same traits as his comic counterpart, as THR reckon he'll be a "serial bomber who places Starling City in a grip of terror and threatens the life of Sebastian Blood (Kevin Alejandro)". Maher will guest star in the tenth episode of the CW show.

SPOILER ALERT***** So Canary was trained by the League of Shadows! Also as most of you probably noticed the messenger from the league was wearing the same archer outfit as Merlyn did :D *****

Such an amazing episode!

Ra's al Ghul is supposed to be??? ?????? in Arabic, "Demon's Head." Is that incorrect? Or are we quibbling pronunciation?

The meaning is not in dispute, but rather the pronunciation. There is nothing wrong in wanting the names of characters pronounced correctly.

Also, this season is getting better and better with each episode!

With that being said. I hate the way they butcher Ra'hs al Ghul's name. It's Ryyysh, and not Raas.

This is how you pronounce it: (2:26 into the video)

Terry McGinnis didn't know how to pronounce it either:

The writers of the comic-books wanted it to be pronounced as "Raysh" and thus they kept using that pronunciation. No idea why they decided to pronounce it as "Rash" in the Dark Knigh Trilogy and Arrow. I mean, Ra's Al Ghul isn't just a simple rash, he's ready to go all assassin in your ass :p

Oh shoot Arrow looks a bit trapped!

btw Felicity in that dress! HUBBA HUBBA!

She is so damn hot! I would hope she would be Olivers love interest but with Black Canary in the picture all bets are off

So little uh Gamble who couldn't get a nickel for his grandma is now bronze tiger. Interesting :)

So happy Black Canary is now on the show. I just love DC and the characters. This show has been awesome since the beginning. Seen all episodes and look forwards to Wednesdays.

Shield is OK but Arrow is better and now with a Flash spinoff will be even more awesome. By the way the Tomorrow People is not a bad show either.

Beware the Bat on Saturdays and Justice League Unlimited also. Very happy

Justice League Unlimited was cancelled a long time ago...and it looks like Beware the Bat is unfortunately on the way out as well....

Oh then they replay it down here. Still fun to watch.

If Bat is canceled then CN needs to go as well. They are a joke after canceling GL and YJ

Beware the Bat will be back in January :) And yeah, it's a shame GL and YJ were both canceled, specially the latter. It even ended with a huge cliffhanger. Kinda the same as they did with Wolverine and the X-Men.

Playing Arkham Origins when suddenly...

Snip!

That sure is an awesome cameo! :)

    • If you have a TV in your living room, chances are you can probably just use the Steam Link app and play your huge PC in big picture mode, effectively giving you the Steam Machine experience to see if you'd actually like it. The good news is the Steam Machine can have it's drives upgraded. It has a USB-C 10Gbs port as well, so the 512GB drive could be quickly moved to an external enclosure and repurposed.
    • This machine could very well be a second gaming PC for their living room as a console experience. So we would have to assume their main PC exists as well; With that said, I have 10gb home network with a 2.5gigabit internet connection here so we tend to have more than enough speed to download games. However, we can't make use of the 10gb LAN using Steam's built in transfer tool because it always compresses transfers and that slows the transfer down to well below a standard gigabit port speeds, sometimes as slow as 200-300Mb/s transfers. While that's probably still faster than most internet connections anyway, if they'd fix the LAN transfer issue it'd be upto x5 faster even on a gigabit LAN, than simply dropping a 2.5gbe port on there with hopes of a few people having fast internet connections. There are solutions, work arounds, like using LANCache if you run a NAS... or simply copying the files over manually using a network share.
    • Samsung announces ultra-fast UFS 5.0 storage to supercharge mobile AI by Paul Hill Local AI models tend to run a lot more slowly than cloud services like Claude and Gemini; however, Samsung has just announced that it has developed its UFS 5.0 solution, which increases data transfer to speeds of 10.8GB/s, enabling faster storage and processing in mobile memory that has the potential to provide more optimal local AI experiences. Commenting on this development, Jangseok Choi, head of Memory Product Planning at Samsung Electronics, said: If you’ve tried local AI, you’ll know it can be quite slow, especially if using the larger parameter models. By developing this new solution, Samsung says that storage is evolving from just storing data to a core piece of infrastructure that supports AI computation, too. The Korean company said that UFS 5.0 integrates the latest embedded memory interface standard from JEDEC and achieves up to 10.8 gigabytes per second (GB/s) transfer speeds. Regarding write speeds, Samsung UFS 5.0 can reach 9.5 GB/s. Both the read and write speeds are twice as fast as those of the previous UFS 4.1 standard. Aside from being ideal for local AI, Samsung’s UFS 5.0 is more power efficient by 40% compared to UFS 4.1. Samsung achieved this by implementing innovations such as clock gating and multi-voltage technologies. UFS 5.0 is also ultra-compact at just 7.5mm x 13mm x 0.9mm; that is 16.7% smaller than UFS 4.1. The company said it will be bringing it to multiple devices in the future, including mobile, wearable, and extended reality.
    • A bit like the steamdeck, this probably isn't for you.
