A new game called The Crew was shown off in today's Ubisoft E3 conference. The game is developed by Ivory Tower and Ubisoft Reflections. It is slated for a Fall 2014 release and is heading to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The game is an online persistent world, blurring the lines between single and multiplayer gaming, and it revolves around infiltrating criminal organizations throughout the USA. The game allows players to play in co-op in every single mission if they choose to do so.

A live gameplay demonstration was shown to illustrate how co-op missions work. A customization system is also featured in the game, allowing players to strip an entire car and build it back up with parts. Cars can be customized using your mobile device on the second screen.

Update: Here's the official game description and features.

Take part in a relentless ride to infiltrate and overtake the 510s, a gang grown around Detroit?s illegal street racing scene. Your plan? Get a rep on the underground-racing scene and sabotage their activities city-by-city all across the United States. Maneuver through the bustling streets of New York City and Los Angeles, cruise down sunny Miami Beach or trek through the breathtaking plateaus of Monument Valley. Each locale comes with its own set of surprises and driving challenges to master. On your journey you will encounter other players on the road ? all potentially worthy companions to crew up with, or future rivals to compete against. This is driving at its most exciting, varied and open.

? NEVER DRIVE ALONE

Jump in and out seamlessly and build your crew of four through bonding or intense rivalry. Whether your objective is to takedown a convoy or to escape the police, achieving it with friends ensures a fresh experience each time you join in.

? A PLAYGROUND OF UNPRECEDENTED SCOPE AND VARIETY

The entire United States is your driving playground ? all roads and everything in between. Every type of terrain imaginable is yours to master ? from downtown city streets to suburbs, hillsides, cornfields, canyons, desert dunes or even race tracks.

? THE EXPERIENCE GOES ON, WHEREVER YOU ARE

Continue the experience on iOS, Android tablets, and on the web. Keep track of your friends? performances and tinker with your ride before playing it live to set new records, or send your crew on jobs on-the-go to gain more XP and parts.

? PREPARE FOR THE NEXT JOB

An extensive tuning system combining depth and simplicity allows you to collect cosmetic and performance parts and customize your licensed cars, according to your style

The ideas they have are nice but i wasn't impressed from the graphics.

Maybe its the video (http://www.gamespot....3-2013-6409670/)

Better video?

Maybe the graphics are not what they could be, due to the scope of the game?

Sounds pretty cool to me.

I wish one day, you can drive anywhere. Say you live in LA, and you want to drive to Toronto, Ontario. Or you want to go from Vancouver (possibly ship transport your car) to the Nurburgring in Germany. Taking the same plan as in the crew, you can fast travel and drive and hangout with your crew. All the cars are tunable, engine swaps, rims, tweaking from the smallest thing like say for an example.. camber to having legit body kits from Japan. Oh one day...

I'm a sucker for driving games so I'll probably pick this up at some point, but as someone else had said, the graphics didn't exactly blow me away like Forza or Drive Club did (or even GT6 on the PS3 to some extent with regards to car models).

Better video?

Thanks but this is just the intro combined maybe with a promo video that are already on the video i posted. Its not gameplay as the video i saw.

I was really amazed by the screenshot in the beginning of the first post and that's why i wanted to see the game.To make sure if that screenshot (which looks very close to reality) was from gameplay.

Unfortunately it was not.

    • Meta launches new AI glasses in 26 styles and Muse Spark multimodal capabilties by Pradeep Viswanathan Meta today announced a new line of Meta Glasses in partnership with EssilorLuxottica. The new AI glasses build on the company’s existing smart glasses portfolio, which is sold under the Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta brands. The new Meta Glasses start at just $299, are compatible with prescription lenses, and will be available in 26 styles across different colors, lenses, and frames. At launch, Meta Glasses will be available in three frame styles. The Meta Adventurer features a clean rectangular design and comes in Standard and Large sizes. The Meta Fury is a bolder frame for users who want a stronger look. Meta Glasses by Kylie is a slim oval frame designed in collaboration with Kylie Jenner. Similar to existing Meta AI Glasses, the new Meta Glasses include a dedicated action button that can be used to quickly access Meta AI or launch a favorite feature. They also feature open-ear speakers for calls, music, and more. Meta has also included a multi-mic array with wind noise reduction for calls and messaging. Users can capture photos and videos hands-free using voice commands. Meta claims more than eight hours of battery life, while the portable charging case can provide up to 40 additional hours. As expected, Meta Glasses come pre-loaded with Meta AI powered by Muse Spark from day one. Muse Spark is the first model from Meta Superintelligence Labs with improved multimodal capabilities. The same Meta AI upgrade is also now available on existing Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta Glasses in the US and Canada via an update. With the Muse Spark-powered AI assistant, Meta AI in the new glasses can provide smarter answers, understand what the user is seeing, and help with daily tasks such as calendar management and navigation. Meta also announced an upcoming feature called the dynamic photo feature, which captures multiple frames and recommends the best one. Pedestrian navigation is also coming soon to these glasses. Meta is also adding support for 14 new live translation languages, including Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, and Korean. The new Meta Glasses are available starting today through Meta.com, Best Buy, Amazon, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, and select retailers.
    • is that a personal preference? whether it is or isn't, i get where you're coming from. i try to get and use fully open sourced applications whenever i can but there are instances where i find a superior product that is closed sourced. in these cases i do my best to learn about the company, who operates it, their background, parent and sub structure etc. to some extent, depending on "the smell test". i really believe that Syncback is really and truly something great. even if you don't use it, it's always worth a recommendation to someone else, especially if that someone else is not very computer literate. for someone of your calibre you, you'll manage just fine with Syncthing, no doubt about it.
    • I agree, especially if it is cloud sourced, like this one is.. but I wouldn't say no to a local AI assistant similar to the Zettlab one which would be really helpful with my large Photos library, but also to perform tasks like installing Docker apps rather than me having to do it via Docker Compose, but I don't think we're quite there yet. Synology Photos is somewhat AI, you can ask it to search for certain people (if you have tagged them and it will attempt to match similar photos to the person) and if you put a search term in for "cars" for example, it will show you all photos with a car.
