Ashley Barrett
Did youtube just change or is it just me? I was watching a vid on a site and all went dead, then I refreshed the page and the whole controls look different. I could not enlarge the vid without going to youtube, I suppose its one way google can make everyone go to there site.
neufuse Veteran Posted June 20, 2013 Veteran Share Posted June 20, 2013 change how so? they did a UI update few months ago!
Ashley Barrett
Sorry, I mean when its embedded on another site. All the UI has gone large, and where you used to be able to pick to enlarge the screen has gone, simple feature but it make everyone leave the site and go to youtube. I cant change the quality either, weird.

Harrison H.
I think it has to do with using a touchscreen enabled device. At least whenever I'm on my surface, I always get the enlarged UI.
Matthew_Thepc
What browser? Same thing happening to me with IE10 Metro
Louisifer
I'm using a non-touchscreen win8 pc and the only plugins IE10 is using is flash/java. Edit: Just tried Chrome and that shows the full screen button.
+KibosJ Subscriber² Posted June 20, 2013 Subscriber² Share Posted June 20, 2013 I wish Google would stop trying to force the HTML5 player on me, it sucks! I'm not in the trial, yet any HTML5 compatible video is forced when it is embedded. The HTML5 player will NEVER allow me to change the quality of the video, it sticks on 240p :( As for this issue: If I load it in my default browser (Chrome Dev) I have the maximise button. If I load it in Internet Explorer I do NOT have the button and cannot maximise the video. Probably some stupid google blocking internet explorer thing. LaP
I think about it and i got the same problem with IE 10 on IMDB (not youtube). I can't enlarge trailers on IMDB using IE10 i have to use Firefox to get the enlarge button.
