Is it possible to have 2 DSL Modems on one line?

I have a two story house with two phone jacks with DSL. It is the same number and such, just different places. One is in my room downstairs and the other is my brother's room upstairs. He uses the DSL upstairs and we don't have lan cables enough to reach each side and go all over the house and such. I have SBC Yahoo DSL and two DSL modems from SBC.

Is it possible for me to use one modem downstairs and the other upstairs at the same time? Thanks

No, I have tried it before, makes neither modems worked when they were both attached.

you can't have 2 modems because you are only paying for one service. your ISP will see that you have 2 MAC addresses and shut you down.

You need 1 phone line for 1 DSL modem and 1 phone system.

You cant make 2 calls at once from 2 phones on 1 line, so you cant have 2 DSL connections over it.

There is no need for a second or third or fourth modem. Get one modem and 1 router and your set. The one monkey this is up to you if you like it like that.
