32" LCD TV Buzzing Noise

I have a newer LCD TV I recently purchased and when I turn it on I hear a buzzing noise. When the backlight turns on, when turning the TV on, the buzzing noise appears. Is this normal for LCDs and should is this anything to be concerned about? Everything else works great.

Is the power outlet properly grounded ?

 

Exchange the TV, while you can.

Meh, happens to all the TVs I own. I own 1 Plasma Panasonic 42incher and a Sony LCD. Nothing's happened to them as far as I can tell.

 

The 42 inch Panasonic has buzzed from day 1 and we've had it for around 7 years.

No, sorry it's not normal. I have a Samsung 32" LCD and it's completely silent.

Depends. like all fluorescent lights it will buzz, usually quietly and the TV should be much louder, you should only hear it when the volume is muted and you're right next to it. with a bad transformer on the light it can be louder though.

You have a killer bee in the TV...  it's flying around inside...  

 

Open it up and let it fly away... 

 

Then you have silent TV!   Yay!

Anyway, if you are not sure, go to the store and see if display TVs have same problem... if not, exchange for better one.

 

 

If you sit like 6 ft away from TV, you wouldn't have this annoying noise problem. Just turn volume up to kill that noise.
