Today at gamescom, the Xbox team confirmed over 20 game titles that are targeted to be available at the Xbox One launch. The hotly anticipated line-up of blockbuster games has been building since the initial announcement of Xbox One, with Microsoft exclusive titles receiving 272 award nominations and 111 wins at E3 2013. You can read the full line-up of currently announced Xbox One games here. And this is just the beginning - many more blockbuster games will be announced in the coming months.

On launch day, you?ll be able to enjoy titles from a diverse range of global developers and renowned studios. Xbox One launch titles include:

  • Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag (Ubisoft, Ubisoft)
  • Battlefield 4 (DICE, Electronic Arts)

  • Dead Rising 3 (Capcom Vancouver, Microsoft)
  • FIFA 14 (EA Sports, Electronic Arts)
  • Fighter Within (AMA Ltd., Ubisoft)

  • Skylanders: Swap Force (Vicarious Visions, Activision)
  • Watch Dogs (Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft)
  • Zoo Tycoon (Frontier Developments Ltd., Microsoft Studios)
  • Zumba Fitness: World Party (Zo? Mode, Majesco)

I guess this is the best launch lineup yet (from Xbox at least).

  •

Battlefield 4 (DICE, Electronic Arts)  - YES

Dead Rising 3 (Capcom Vancouver, Microsoft)  -  YES

Killer Instinct (Double Helix, Microsoft Studios) -  YES (Probably the Combo Breaker Pack only though)

NBA 2K14 (Visual Concepts, 2K Sports) - YES (will get on the 360 if this version is stripped down)

Ryse: Son of Rome (Crytek, Microsoft Studios) - MAYBE!!!

Watch Dogs (Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft)- YES

I am officially broke.... Thank goodness I started to save for Next Gen a few years in advance...

After seeing the hands on impressions for Ryse from IGN, that game is on my list of games to get.

So far on the X1:

Ryse

Killer Instinct

Crimson Dragon

DR3

Then possible multiplatform titles:

Watch Dogs

AC 4

Battlefield 4

To be honest, that lineup is better then most launch lineups I can remember.  I have never been interested in so many titles coming at launch. So if I do pre-order, it'll be tough deciding which will be my first game.  I can't get them all.

this is my list of the first games ill be preoccupied with. :)

Not a very exciting list if i'm honest. Doesn't really seem to be a big time system seller there.

umm right.

with the delay there's some games I'm goignt o have to avoid buying for the 360. but that shouldn't be a problem anyway, I'm not one of the must play it now, and the launch list alone will keep most gamers happy fo most of 2014. never mind the whole 2014 list....

That is right, actually. Many of them are sports, which aren't worth buying a new console for. Several others are available on other platforms(including pc). And the couple that would be good(say, forza, for example) aren't worth $500 on thier own.

But, of course, to someone like you this is probably the best lineup in the history of... ever.

It's always a good idea to base your entire decision to buy a brand new console based on LAUNCH TITLES only.   :s

Let's think back a couple years ago. Many people complained about the launch lineup of the 3ds and used that as a reason not to buy one right away. So why is the xbox exempt from similar treatment?

Neither system has a strong lineup so that's why I'm not in a rush to buy either on day one.

Even after that awful gameplay video they released of the Arena? It looks soo boring.

I believe that was just a demo level to show off the combat to the press.  It was a reaction to the worries that it was all QTE stuff.  We still need to see more gameplay.

I would refrain from arguing over how good the launch lineup is anyway.  Its all subjective.  The only good thing is that there is a wide range of titles.  Both Sony's and MS' lineups are good in quantity, just pick the ones you like and be done with it.

So you're not going to buy a Xbox one or PS4 then I take it.

I agree. The only thing that really had my interests was Titanfall, but that has seemingly slipped through their fingers as it's due to release on PC as well. Granted, I also completely forgot about Titanfall when I saw Destiny, even though they are different games hahah. I just didn't expect Destiny to look so good.

Will have to see what other content comes out later down the road.

Oh no, an opinion that differs from your own! Seriously man, get off his junk. You don't agree, great, get over it. :sleep2:

Honestly, both of them are arguing about what games the other should like.

I get tired of people trying to attack others because they like certain games or a certain lineup.  If you like one over another, great, just don't try to claim that means something is crap.

The only exclusive title that looked somewhat interesting was Ryse. I think the setting has a lot of potential and it's an action game with a horde mode which is right up my ally. Unfortunately, after the terrible E3 showcase and the new Polygon interview video that was released today, I can safely say all of my anticipation for the game has dissipated. Now, I'm just waiting for reviews and let's-play videos to see whether it's a total abortion or worth playing at least once.

It's not a fantastic launch lineup on exclusives, but nothing Sony has announced is either.  I'm putting PC gaming on the backburner for late 2013 and all of 2014, not spending another cent on it after recent experiences if I can help it.  (Hell, just today I got Splinter Cell: Blacklist...and it won't launch, which seems entirely too normal for Ubisoft PC games.)

So I'll probably grab quite a few of those, though not right away.

I never buy anything by Ubi Soft or EA on PC.

But there's more than enough games by other companies to have plenty of fun on PC. In fact i've not played a game by EA or Ubi Soft in the last 4 years (last one was Dragon Age) and i don't miss then at all.

    • WhatsApp slams Isreali firm, NSO Group, for trying to spy on its users by David Uzondu WhatsApp has come out accusing Israeli cyber-intelligence firm, NSO Group, of deploying a fresh wave of highly targeted "spear phishing" attacks against users, which its security teams successfully thwarted. The Israeli firm, according to WhatsApp, ran this operation like its usual one-click phishing campaigns, trying to get people to click malicious links that lead them to external sites. To coordinate the campaign, the spyware vendor created fake test accounts and groups on the messaging app. WhatsApp said it is sharing the specific malicious domains, ikhwancast[.]com, ghazacast[.]com, and fr24cast[.]com, because potential victims need this data to check if they were targeted across other messaging systems or email platforms. The NSO Group is infamous for creating and selling Pegasus, a military-grade commercial spyware capable of silently compromising smartphones simply by sending a message or placing a missed call via apps like WhatsApp or iMessage. Users do not even have to interact with the incoming notification before the infection takes hold. Once Pegasus manages to break in, the spyware harvests private data, letting operators read private messages, emails, photos, and documents. It also tracks precise GPS locations, records keystrokes, activates the device's camera, and monitors live microphone audio. Independent investigations by cybersecurity watchdogs like The Citizen Lab and human rights organizations like Amnesty International have proven that governments use this software to track humanitarian workers, journalists, diplomats, and political dissidents. These findings directly contradict NSO Group claims that clients use the technology to spy on criminals and terrorists only. In late 2021, the U.S. Department of Commerce added the firm to its Entity List, effectively banning the vendor from buying hardware and software from American tech companies. WhatsApp said in its blog post that the spyware vendor violated a permanent court injunction with this new spear-phishing campaign. This injunction, which took effect in 2025, strictly prohibited NSO Group from targeting WhatsApp and its users. The platform is now asking a federal court to hold the firm in contempt.
    • It would be surprising if even 3 year old Apple Watches (and not SE models at that) cannot run watchOS 27. Granted, it doesn't mean it would work as well. We'll see.
