Who do you want to replace Ballmer

Recommended Posts

I personally think that Julie will help MS get in better shape. I believe that if she becomes CEO, Microsoft will be 10x more popular.

She isnt the "PINK EVERYWHURRR" type of girl so there wont be negative effects to the male userbase.

What about you, who do you want and why?

I will vow to bring microsoft back into the times startin with the total destruction of metro, and bring back the aero classic that is loved by everybody

Not to mention the money I'll make

And work hard to bring customisable welcome tones, mouse icons, theme icons..

Get paid

And bring glory to windows 95......

Sorry need to take my meds, brb

Steve Wozniak is brilliant like Bill Gates, he would be a good choice or not

You know he might not be a bad choice actually....  after all I thought he said that he likes Windows Phones....

But really you might think about this guy

Just kidding - though he would be a welcome change from the "developers" guy

I'm surprised no one mentioned Sinofsky and Forstall.

My pick would be either Satya Nadella or Tami Reller.

If Simon became CEO, you'd see even more of those dancing ads for the Surface.

I wish Jim Allchin still worked at Microsoft; he'd make a wonderful CEO, and could again be the company's "great white hope". He has personality, technical expertise, and experience.

""If you're going to kill someone there isn't much reason to get all worked up about it and angry - you just pull the trigger. Angry discussions beforehand are a waste of time. We need to smile at Novell while we pull the trigger." Allchin, 1993

"I continue to see a healthy PC market, very healthy. The machines will continue to morph; you'll see smaller machines that have more capability."
- Allchin, 2006

"
One day, he got a long distance call from a user whose system had crashed in the middle of saving some important work. Jim was able to repair the damage over the phone, getting the user to toggle in disk I/O instructions at the front panel, repairing system tables in hex, reading register contents back over the phone."

I like Julie a lot, but her last on stage appearance, has me saying she won't. She was quite nervous, and unsteady, for some reason.

    • IBM are good at announcing stuff, but not at actually delivering it... How many decades ago did they announce quantum computers, and here we are in 2026, with CHINA delivering them, and IBM still talking...
    • It sounds like you’re trying to rewrite a narrative to align this layoff with your political beliefs. Games can be horrible, whatever backwards notions you have don’t change that bungie has problems, mostly with just bad games, and arrogance. When they pushed Microsoft to let them be independent they lost their way. They hired on a bunch of people and they couldn’t justify the employee count consistent with their revenue.
