Our server at work has been moved around which has really messed up a lot of InDesign files, especially our product catalogue. The images were in different folders, for example. D:\product_library\star_wars\images, D:\product_library\disney\images, but now with the server change all the links are invalid.
I know that if all the images were in one folder then InDesign would see that and relink them all in one go, but because they aren't it seems like the only option is to go through and relink all the images one by one.
Is there any way I can just tell InDesign that the only thing that has changed is the drive/server part of the link, and make it find them all again?
I hope that explanation was clear enough, I'm not an InDesign pro by any means.
The only reason I have Windows 11 is because it came with the new machine. I was quite happy with Windows 10.
Windows 11 has its own issues just like any OS, but honestly after the fear-mongering towards Windows 11 while I was on Windows 10, I thought I would be more frustrated. I still prefer my daily OS, but Windows 11 isn't the worst thing in the world for what I use it for.
False. You don't care about the article. Although at the same time you don't care while wanting to comment that you don't care rather than moving on to an article that you are interested in.
I struggle to understand this mentality. Neowin writes an article on Linux, someone comments that they don't use Linux. That doesn't mean the rest of the community isn't involved in some way.
I don't use Mac OS or iPhones. I'm not going to drop into each article about that ecosystem to say, "this doesn't affect me." Instead I recognise that the article doesn't affect me directly and I just move on to something that grabs my interest.
Without any third-party software, I was able to get it back to the way I like it (as much as can be liked).
What exactly are you looking for? What does the limited customization not offer that you are looking for?
EDIT: This is my start menu
I still have to click on "all" in order to get the list of programs, but generally speaking I hit the Windows key and start typing to bring up an app.
