I have a friendly suggestion, update the logo and allow an option for this background color https://www.neowin.net/images/uploaded/logo-short.jpg

what they need to do is add tapatalk functions to the site and I could have the forums added to the next update.

Still waiting on an answer from NeoBond

Tapatalk pretty much ignores the IP.Board hooks system (I've already moaned at the developers about this), that'll probably break customisations they have here.

I had started one in 2010 with the WP7 beta SDK. Sadly never finished, it was a pain at the time :( Found a video of it and uploaded it:

Good job, bhast2, on getting it done and approved :D

I like the multi-color idea, but only as an option not for every swipe. For example green for Xbox, red for windows phone, black for Surface, yellow/orange for bing.

I assume this has to do with the official app coming out.  Thank you for taking the time to give us an alternative.  I hope if anything it helped out in your Windows Phone development.  Best of luck.

It's out now for WP8, Windows 8.1 and RT 8.1

You're right, I just check on WP8, it's very basic.  It needs to support the forums and to let us post and get notifications of replies etc.   Maybe when it's at that point I'll check it out.  Don't know if the Win8/RT app is of the same level.

They are just as basic but at least we have an official Neowin app now and I'm sure there will be features added in future updates

    • Absolutely NOBODY has suggested such a conclusion. I am affirming the sober reality check that AV2's overall market adoption will take longer than AV1's adoption rate -- which, by the way, is the whole point of the article! While PCI-SIG is productive (on paper), other WGs have created all sorts of confusing progress plans that consumers have tuned-out of their improvements... HTML/W3C, USB, HDMI, BT, WIFI (ieee802.11) as a few other groups where spec naming conventions, split progress paths, overlapping ambitions... I'm not critiquing the AV specs group; I'm simply affirming that adoption for AV2 faces headwinds beyond the macroeconomics of it all.

    • No thanks! WebView trash is unacceptable. I only use software that's native.
