[REDHAT9] Refresh rate does not seem to hold

Okay, I edited the X config file with the correct refresh rate ranges for my Samtron 76DF monitor:

Horizontal 30 ~ 70 kHz

Vertical 50 ~ 160 Hz

And screen size, and all that. However, after saving and restarting the X Server, the refresh rates stay at a good ol' 60 Hz. Blah. I know my monitor can support 75 Hz at my current resolution; how can I change this? Should I make the "range" = only 75 Hz for vertical, instead of 50 - 160 ?

Give it a try and see what happens. If it works, it works. If it doesn't work, try something else.

I did try it, lol. Refresh rate remained at 60Hz. In WinXP, I can go to 75Hz.

You need to get some modelines. Not too sure on how to get them though, google should be of help :p
