MthyTV and QMYSQL3

Recommended Posts

Hey has anyone that has MythTV 0.12 got it to work with RH9? I used the CVS version and got all the packages (weather,games,news,web,video,tv,music...). Everything complied fine before compling MythTV it's self (lame,XMLTV...). When I complied MythTV at first I did not get the ./setup to work. Well setup was not there ;) But I reinstalled lame and recompiled MythTV and there it was. But my new problem is i run setup and it said that it could not find the QMYSQL3 driver a few times, then gives some more can't find driver errors and quits. I have QT 3.1.1 installed (from RH9 install, it was a package for KDE). Do I need to install QT from TollTech to make this work. If so I don't need to recomplie everything again do I? :wacko: :blink:

Please don't reply with What is MythTV or Flame about it or anyhing like that. I will make a topic for that in a minute here. Thanks for any help I can get out there. And no I can't post what the error codes look like. The Linux Box is at my friends house. But anyone that has had this problem will know what I'm talking about. :whistle:

the easiest way to get mythtv on redhat 9 is to grab the atrpms package. you can grab the atrpms kickstart which has apt installed with their custom server list here http://atrpms.physik.fu-berlin.de/dist/rh9/atrpms-kickstart/

apt-get update && apt-get install mythtv-suite

it looks like they updated it for 0.12 also
