I have to wait until after work but some people are saying that the system is much snappier loading the menus. For example, while in a game pulling up the dashboard seems quicker.

 

Hopefully there actually was some performance boost upgrades.

I did try that and it does seem a bit snappier, so something is definitely better when switching back to the dashboard while in a game.

I hope they get to the load times/reliability of apps sooner rather than later though. Those still aren't working well for me.

Thankfully, the main ui has always felt smooth and quick for me.

Everything I have read seems to point to performance and general stability improvements.  According to rumors DLNA/MP3/Etc support will be coming Mid-January, and this update may also contain supports to make that update smoother.

 

I really hope this is the case and DLNA/MP3 support comes next month.
