Boullier resigns from Lotus, set to become McLaren F1 team principal

Eric Boullier is set to become McLaren's new Formula 1 team principal after quitting Lotus.

Following intense speculation about plans for McLaren, Boullier has resigned from his position as Lotus team boss with immediate effect.

The Frenchman, who has done an impressive job at Lotus despite financial constraints, is now favourite to land the job at McLaren.

Lotus has confirmed that its owner Gerard Lopez will be its new team principal for 2014.

Full story soon.

If that happens. Quite a big change to happen so close to the new season.

I didn't think Martin Whitmarsh has done a bad job. If the car is rubbish. There isn't much he can do about that.

This season is going to be interesting... for about 3 races before it becomes clear Red Bull/Vettel are going to walk it.

... unless either the Renault engine or the RB10 chassis turn out to be a dud. You never know in a season with as many new regulations as the upcoming one.

That is what i'm hoping for. I personally think this season will be more open just because of all the changes.

It is almost like every team is starting from the ground up. Unlike past years where it was just an evolution of the past seasons car (except Mclaren).

The Williams one is bad, but the McLaren penis nose... it even has a urethra and everything. Perverts. At least they branded it so that everyone will think it's the Mercedes.

Does it need to stop halfway through the race to eject any waste fluids through the that thing?

Ignoring the nose, it looks brilliant. Glad the red on the livery is mostly gone. There are some serious challengers for best livery this year.

Also with the rumours surrounding Martini and Williams someone made this, please let it happen.

    • They are neither of those things They cause virtually zero issues to end users as when leveraged correctly they are invisible. They aren't 'DRM', because, they're nothing to do with DigitalRightsManagement Some Anti-Cheat services I did see are starting to *use* the TPM to store creds/tokens, which it's for, but it's not involved beyond that. I would suggest doing some reading, both articles are fairly lengthy, but for MS Learn they're actually pretty decent at explaining the concepts.
