Every time I go into setting and change to full screen, the game keeps running in windows mode.  Running x64 version on Windows 8.1

Any ideas?  Using ATI

AMD Catalyst 13.11 BETA7 (13.250.18.0 October 25)

I was getting similar with Windows 7 x64 and a slightly older version of the Catalyst drivers.  Sometimes full screen, sometimes not.  For me anyway, setting it to borderless works 100%, I prefer a "full screen window" anyway as I'm frequently tabbing out to the other monitors, etc.

Thanks, Would like to know how to fix the issue so i can run fullscreen though.

Borderless is a full screen window, 100% screen coverage just like the regular full screen mode (no taskbar, no window borders, etc), except it plays nicer with the desktop.

Are you able to Alt + Tab to other windows though? When I'm in borderless, I can switch but the BF4 window always stays on top. Same as if the task manager was set to always on top.

Sadly no, no idea why they set it like that, I have three monitors so it's not an issue for me personally but most other games that run in borderless mode work perfectly and lose focus when told to.  I have my task manager on a second monitor and can force BF4 to minimize but... shouldn't have to do that.  I can work on the other displays just fine with BF4 running, but to use the same one, I need to force it to get out of my face.  Wasn't sure if it's being done that way intentionally by the game or of it's just a quirk of my version of the driver, it's not the latest.

Do you have multiple monitors ? the beta kept going windows for me every time I changed a setting, I figured it was because I had two monitors, alt+enter fixes it quickly, even if it's annoying, but you dont' go into settings that often anyway.

I have the same config, Windows 8.1, Catalyst beta drivers, I have the same issue but only sometimes. If I go into settings sometimes the whole window will shrink down to a small window until I set it to fullscreen and save then it fills up the whole screen. I have a single monitor.

It can't be intended that way because what about all the players who only have one monitor and perhaps don't know how to get it out of their faces to see the BattleLog... They definitely need to fix that.
