It's supposed to help avoid overcompressed, obnoxiously loud ads on TV, but probably doesn't work that well with on-demand content. Try turning it off, if at all possible. As for quality - it's really quite decent. Pretty basic for Blu-ray, but well enough for everything else. Digital signal is delivered bit-perfect to your soundbar, without any interference or loss. That way everything rests on the soundbar itself - you're getting it as good as its built-in stuff can make it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
