ok i know i haven't posted anything in a while, but heres a shot I just got done taking. I drove up to San Francisco, and waited across the golden gate bridge for 3 and a half hours to get this shot.

Enjoy...oh, and it was definately worth the wait

As some one else said most Canons let you do that. I use a Canon S50 5megapixal, 3x zoom, Full manuel controls. Very nice camera, basicly a compact G3.

Almost any prosumer-pro camera can allow you to adjust the aperture and shutter speed... NOT just canons.

omg!! look on pg 56 at one of ggareis' pics. theres one with a cat in the tree with glowing eyes :p nice shot there.

PS: i finally got my e-10.... after a month of hell going through the customs for a piece of electronic equipment!!! damn you US customs!!!

If I were you, I'd sell the E10, and either get the E-20, the E-1, or a canon/nikon. I had the E10 as my first camera, it's what I started doing my shoots with... and let me tell you, it sucks. I mean the camera is OK... but thats about all I'd give it. The noise levels are insane, even at the lowest Iso setting of 160. The camera has a bit of a magenta cast to the jpg/tiff images as well, the ORF (raw files) pics are a tad better, but not much. The lens is decent, but since it's not a true SLR, you're stuck with that one 5x lens, and it's not exactly the sharpest lens in the world either. Also it has a tendency to underexpose images as well.

Also, Never NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER put an IBM microdrive in it. It'll work, but barely, plus it eats power like no tomorrow. Also, I used to run microdrives in it all the time, and eventually it fried the CF drive, so only the smart media slot worked. The microdrives require more power than what the e10 can sustain over a period of time, and it ended up frying the cf slot. Not only that, but it caused one of my 1gig microdrives to break.

Also, do not buy the tcon-300 accessory lens... it's a total waste of money. I bought it, and never used it.. the thing is like twice as long as the camera.

yes .. it finally snowed this year in dallas texas. 8 am central time, thought this was a beautiful shot.

nice shot! got any more? my parents live in Dallas and my father told me yesterday they were expecting some snow. It's nothing new to me (I live in Canada) but it's nice to know my brother can now really understand what it means when I say "i'm freezing my nuts off eh"

yah the tcon300 is a piece... but i really like the e-10! it takes good pics for me.. but yeah, eventually i will upgrade, i just had to go digital, cuz everyone was just jumping into it from 35mm. plus, i had a tight budget, and i got this for a good deal, hardly used and in great condition. oh yeah, its not supposed to be compatible with the microdrive like u said. i would probly never do that anyways.

but hey, i still take lots of pictures with my true SLR, but theres two things i like about the e10, image quality, and TTL viewfinder... why do you think they make so many with EVF?? it takes away the quality and in my oppinion, is hard to focus with.

Microdrive, a blessing hehe, not the fastest media, but sooo handy when you do a lot of shooting like at an event/show

I went to the Imagina Computer Graphics show in monaco 10 days ago, I filled it almost every of the 4 days the show lasted :D

it's hard to sustain a rapid shooting rate tho hehe, my poor Powershot G5 was on its knees at times ;)

    • The limited imaginations and business acumen of non-dominant players is simply that: the abject lack of creative business acumen. Businesses often want to operate in a financially-rewarding marketplace (free market economics) and/or exit/cash-out at maximal financial recompense. Money is their incentive; regulations are both their obstacles and their tools; politics is their means of influencing the marketplace. Google, in this story's example, is crying that AWS and Azure are "too dominant" -- cuz Google Cloud is not printing as much money as Alphabet wants (although it is still dramatically more than they actually need). The EU DMA should truly follow-the-money and treat the EU as its own sovereign nation in order to protect European market players: Domestic entities are exempt from market-influence regulations until absolute monopoly is achieved; Foreign (non-EU/non-Euro) entities are all regulated via stricter DMA measures whereby regulated partnership with independent domestic entity becomes the only way for foreign entities to 'tip the scale' for favorable financial remunerations. Basically create a dual-track aligning with China's foreign investment models. In my eyes, this is the only way to properly protect the European marketplace beyond the current dot-com/ai-bubble/social-media crazes.
