Very nice shots man, you putting these up for prints on devart?

these won't be going on print yet nope - the images are 3.2MP so after cropping/bordering etc are only really suitable for print at around A4 size - Once I get a higher quality camera I'll upload new images at huge size for DA prints - right now though these are going in my hardback portfolio as 6"x4" up to 9" printed at Jessops :)

Also the originals get archived to disc, i never upload the originals because it just means someone ends up re-branding them (silly i know but was discussed on da forums on how to best protect your images and smaller sizes was the best way among signature) - watermarking is expensive :/ so thats out the question!

That's a bummer man, would of loved to get that boatyard one framed where I work. :D

just wait until he gets the canon rebel
hehehe - I do feel somewhat limited by the lack of extended manual features of the p72 at times even though it has some manual features it lacks vital ones like exposure timing/shutter speed/ and priority and of course manual focusing as well as focus lock on moving objects (AI Servo on teh rebel) - will truelly kick ass on teh 300D

I was sampling it at jessops store today and must sau its bigger than i thought but it feels real nice and solid, its not too heavy nor too light, just perfect!

with the sony too its almost vital to have a tripod or a solid surface when taking night shots even at fast shutter speed otherwise even the smallest light becomes a slight blur - a small downside to compact digicams of this sort i guess

THAT'S 3.2 megapixels only?! wow. looks very good.

Indeed :) - auto white balance is what brings in some artifactig or grain to images but adjusting it manually to the scene is perfect for nice clean results I find

wow, very nice shots.

i just got the cannon g5 and i cant take pictures that good....... yet.

The G5 is a nice cam, most say its not as nice as the G3 though but it defo is a higher class cam, wouldn't mind one myself but I just have to have dslr next upgrade for me :) - the 10d is too much, the nikons are great but i dont like the look for some reason and the canons have superb reputation and the 300d looks fab :p

    • Less powerful than a PS5 at twice the price! I wonder if they use that for marketing? Totally DoA.

    • How does it compare to the "SeeStar S30 Pro" and the "Vespera PRO 2"?
    • Indeed. And note that those units are MUCH cheaper than this new Steam Machine...ahem.
