Display Windows XP build numbers?

How do i do this? like i know it was on here before i know i can use regedit to have it say like Windows XP Home or Windows XP Pro plus the build number in the buttom corner.

Download Tweak UI from Microsoft Website

under the PowerToys for Windows XP section

Then install the program,

open it>go to"general">at the bottom of the list select "show windows version on desktop>press apply

Then you're done

It saves you from playing with the regedit yourself.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

Find DWORD value "Paintdesktopversion"

Change value to 1

it worked:) , but now the font is black in color , how can i change it to white??

I think if your desktop color is bright, it will be black. It the desktop color is dark, it will be white. Go to Display Properties -> Appearence -> Desktop.
