PingPlotter are not freeware! ;)

Ping Plotter is developed under the trialware (or shareware) concept. You're probably familiar with this - you can try out the software for a limited time (30 days) after which you need to pay for it. It only costs $24.95 per computer to license (discounts are available for buying multiple licenses).

Well, thank you for that smart ass, most people know it as webattack, I was aware of the name change.

Errmm...

You are welcome... but I wasn't the smart ass who disrespected the work of all users who contributed to this thread, I was just pointing out a simple correction. If everybody treated others like you just did, this place would be much worse. Can't you keep it fair? :)

{Create tutorials and presentations} A good way to teach someone how to do something is by creating a visual, animated tutorial. Unfortunately, programs that do this can be costly. Wink can do it at no cost and it's good quality. It even has a couple of tutorials to show how it works. It can save the tutorial as a PDF or HTML file.

Wink is a Tutorial and Presentation creation software, primarily aimed at creating tutorials on how to use software (like a tutor for MS-Word/Excel etc). Using Wink you can capture screenshots of your software, use images that you already have, type-in explanations for each step, create a navigation sequence complete with buttons, delays, titles etc and create a highly effective tutorial for your users.

MeazureTM 2.0

What are the dimensions of that image? How big is this window? Does this layout fit on an NTSC display? What color are these pixels? What does this icon look like close up? How can I capture an arbitrary portion of the screen? These are just a few of the questions that kept coming up as I developed applications and web pages. Various tools are available to answer some of these questions but I could not find any that answered them all or that had a usable interface. So I created Meazure, a program that measures, magnifies and captures the screen by providing a battery of features in a cohesive user interface. Even better, Meazure is free!

Features

Measure objects on the screen such as images, windows and icons

Capture arbitrary portions of the screen

Magnify the screen up to 32X magnification

Read the color of a screen pixel in RGB, hex RGB, CMY, CMYK, HSL, YCbCr, YIQ

Display rulers anywhere on the screen

Display a grid overlay on the screen with adjustable grid spacing

Measure using a number of units including pixels, points, twips, centimeters, or user-defined

Record measurements to an XML file for later playback or external processing

Calibrate screen resolution to provide accurate measurements

Save and restore measurement tool positions using Profiles

Use predefined Profiles for common screen and video sizes such as NTSC and PAL

Configure the user interface to show only the information you need

Many more features. See the detailed context-sensitive online help

http://www.cthing.com/Downloads.asp

could say this is an alternative to the commerical program @ http://www.bitsplash.com/exactmouse/

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
