"Calendar vs. Sunbird

Calendar is the calendar extension for Mozilla products such as the Mozilla Application Suite, Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird.

Sunbird is the standalone form of the calendar extension, which means that it doesn't need one of the above mentioned applications to run. Sunbird and Calendar use the same base code so their functionality is virtually the same and they share the same bugs and bug fixes. Some features currently depend on the underlying product:

* Open URL works only in the Mozilla Application Suite and Mozilla Firefox.

Sorry if there have been threads created like this in the past. I wasn't able to find any with the search feature. I thought that it might be a good idea to start a thread for good programs that a lot of people might not know about. I'm constantly trying out new stuff and I always like to hear about good software. So here's my recommendation to you all.

Slickrun get it here http://www.bayden.com/SlickRun/ In my opinion this should come bundled with the Windows operating system. I'm amazed that more people haven't heard of this program. Very rarely do I even need to navigate through folders to access a file. I can use slickrun to launch any program, directory, song, the control panel, etc. from slickrun. It floats wherever you want it to on your screen and can be hid in the tray. It is very easy to configure and there is also a support forum where people share various tricks to use. One example of what it can do.. I can type in "google meatballs" into slickrun. Then slickrun will open up my default browser, navigate to google, search for meatballs, and display the results all on it's own.

Okay..I suppose I wrote a little too much about slickrun. Please share the great programs that you've ran across but know most people probably don't know about. Please don't name off any commonly used programs though.

-Open up programs, files, folders with a combination of the Windows key plus a selected hotkey of your choice. This is probably my favorite program as I can make a folder with some " questionable " material in, hide it real well within folders and just set up a hotkey for it so I can get to it with just two key presses. Not like I'd do anything like that though ;)

TigoTago - Unique mp3 tag editor, works a lot like Excel. Only supports mp3 so far though, waiting on wma / ogg.

PDF SpeedUp - Simple utility which disables a lot of plugins etc. in Acrobat Reader, making it load much faster... on my pc anyways.

Command Prompt Explorer Bar - Screenshot should say it all. I love this one.

Quad-Lock Unit Converter - I know theres other ones around, but this was the first one I found myself. Allows you to convert from many different units, in to cm, fahrenheit to celcius, etc.
