Games we are looking forward to in 2014

State which platform you'd like it on, too.

This might help if you're not too sure about what is coming this year

DK Topic Freeze. Might actually convince me to finally get a Wii U.

Bayonetta 2. "..."

inFamous Second Son. I'll have to do my best to avoid buying a PS4 when this comes out.

Yoshi's New Island. Haven't read much about this yet, but I want to check it out. (3DS)

Nothing else I am too ermahgard about.

Later, nerds.

I'm still hoping for Bayonetta 2 to make an appearance on the ps4, but if it doesn't so be it

Diablo, The Crew, and Mad Max are the ones I'm hyped about at the moment (ps4)

Considering Ninty is publishing Bayonetta 2 I highly doubt we'll see it on any other platform.

The Division is the big one on my 2014 hit-list.
South Park: The Stick of Truth looks promising too.
Infamous Second Son looks really really good
Watchdogs, well that goes without saying. A must buy.
Shadow of Mordor looks fantastic, although it needs the animations tweaked badly so its not using Assassins Creed 2 :P
GTAV is a must, when its released again for Current Gen & PC
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z looks amazeballs
Destiny looks pretty damn good too
Metal Gear Solid looks like a true AAA title this year, less cinematics, more gameplay

The Last of Us DLC - Come on its the Last of Us - the GAME OF THE YEAR
Star Wars Battlefront is a maybe
The Order is a maybe too
Doom 4 should be sweet :D
The Lego Movie videogame - only because I know the people who worked on this - and ITS AWESOME
Uncharted 4
Outlast :D
Thats bout it for my list so far and yes, its basically for PS4

Command & Conquer (PC)

Also dont have any info on but I'm confident will have:

New Tekken, Street Fighter, NFS and maybe GTA for PS4.

Dark Souls 2 is my most anticipated title right now. Then the rumoured Sony announcement of Demons Souls 2

I'm worried The Witcher will be delayed to Q1 2015.

Dragon Age - Inquisition

Titanfall

Dark Souls 2

Divinity - Original Sin

Dreamfall Chapters

There are several already for this year that I'm looking forward to among the game that we know about officially:

Infamous: Second Son (PS4)

The Order (PS4) (granted we don't now much about this game yet, but I want to see more)

South Park: The Stick of Truth (360) (unless there is a next gen port)

Fable Anniversary (360) (unless there is a next gen port rumored)

Titanfall (XB1)

Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare (XB1) (the XB1 getting local co-op and the boss mode pushed me to this version over the pc)

Quantum Break (XB1) (this game might not even come this year and its another title we don't know much about, but I want to see more)

Watch Dogs (XB1 or PS4)

On the maybe side:

Elder Scrolls Online (haven't decided on the platform yet, maybe pc)

New Everquest MMO (PC)

Tropico 5 (PC or PS4)

Witcher 3 (leaning PC, but will check out the console versions)

Mad Max (will have to see the game in motion to pick a console)(don't know much about this one, but I'm very interested in seeing more)

Destiny (XB1 or PC)

The Division (XB1 or PS4)

This will be a busy year for my gaming, assuming that these all do make it out this year. This list also includes multiplats on the platform I'll be playing them on.

Xbox One:
Quantum Break
Thief
Titanfall
Sunset Overdrive (If more info on what this game will actually be)
Whatever Halo title is coming out; Halo 5 or Halo 2 Anniversary
Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare
The Witcher 3
Wolfenstein: The New Order
Watch Dogs
Destiny
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (Also the Phantom Pain if it makes it this year)
The Division
The Evil Within
Evolve
Kingdom Hearts 3
Below

Xbox 360:

The Walking Dead Season 2
The Wolf Among Us
Fable Anniversary
Dark Souls 2 (If I ever manage to beat DS1)
South Park: The Stick of Truth
Castlevania LoS 2 (If I finally get around to beating the 1st)

PC:
Some actual games if I finally get around to picking up a gaming machine again.

PS4: (If I end up pre-ordering one again)
Infamous: SS
The Order

PC

Banished

Dying Light

Titanfall

Dragon Age Inquisition

Watch Dogs

Whichever playable Star Citizen bits will show up this year

Battlefield 4 expansions no doubt.

...and I guess I can admit I'll probably get Sims 4.

Carmageddon could be cool.  It could also suck.

I don't know enough about The Crew to say yet.

Console:

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain (because I'm a hardcore Metal Gear geek)

Ultra Street Fighter IV (because the best 2d fighting game of this generation gets even better)

PC:

Ultra Street Fighter IV

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 and Mirror of Fate HD

Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition (finally, a proper PC port of Resident Evil 4!)

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (Also the Phantom Pain if it makes it this year)

I think The Phantom Pain will not make it this year because Hideo Kojima has said that it's going to be one hell of a bigger game than Ground Zeroes.

Yeah, Ground Zeroes is being classed as a glorified demo by many at the moment. Looking forward to playing it though...

Then again, I'm looking forward to pretty much anything releasing on PS4 this year :p Still got 132 games to play on Steam though :/

    • I agree, especially if it is cloud sourced, like this one is.. but I wouldn't say no to a local AI assistant similar to the Zettlab one which would be really helpful with my large Photos library, but also to perform tasks like installing Docker apps rather than me having to do it via Docker Compose, but I don't think we're quite there yet. Synology Photos is somewhat AI, you can ask it to search for certain people (if you have tagged them and it will attempt to match similar photos to the person) and if you put a search term in for "cars" for example, it will show you all photos with a car.
    • I doubt that Google will keep the same price... it may go up from that list published.
    • Sennheiser's audiophile grade HD 600 hits lowest ever price on Amazon Prime Day 2026 by Sayan Sen If you are in the market for high-quality audiophile-grade over-ear headphones then Sennheiser's HD 600 are a great choice for sure, especially today on Prime Day 2026 as the product has hit its lowest ever price (purchase link under the specs table down below). The Sennheiser HD 600 has long been regarded as a reference headphone for listeners seeking a detailed and natural listening experience. It is an open-back design that is built around the idea of acoustic transparency which is essentially said to allow sound waves to move freely for a more spacious and accurate presentation by reducing turbulence and the type of distortion that can result from it. At the heart of the product is Sennheiser’s proprietary driver system featuring a 42 mm driver paired with a lightweight diaphragm and aluminum voice coils. The company says this design helps deliver fast response times and better articulate sound across the audible frequency range. Comfort and durability are also key aspects of the HD 600 as the headphones feature soft velour ear pads designed for extended listening sessions. The HD 600 comes with a detachable 3-meter cable, a 6.3 mm stereo connector, and a 3.5 mm adapter for compatibility with a wide range of audio equipment. The technical specs of the Sennheiser HD 600 are given in the table below: Specification Value Transducer Principle Dynamic, Open-Back Ear Coupling Circumaural (Over-Ear) Frequency Response 12 Hz – 40,500 Hz Sound Pressure Level (SPL) 97 dB (1 V) Impedance 300 Ω Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) < 0.1% (1 kHz, 1 V) Cable Length 3 m (9.8 ft) Connector 3.5 mm Stereo Jack Plug Included Adapter 6.3 mm (1/4") Stereo Jack Adapter Weight 260 g Magnetic Field Strength 1.8 mT Driver Size 42 mm Dynamic Driver Diaphragm Size 38 mm Get it at the link below: Sennheiser HD 600: $237.00 (Sold by Electronics Expo, Shipped by Amazon US) (Was: $449.95) Good to know This Amazon deal is U.S. specific, and not available in other regions unless specified.
