How to disable modem noise?

I don't have modem in my pc but i hear modem sound from spaker or headset,i don't know how to disable it.

You don't have a modem. Yet, you're hearing modem noises? I would check Windows Sound Mixer to hopefully figure out what program is generating the sound. You can also mute the individual application or uninstall it.

if you are hearing a whining noise, you probably have a bad ground somewhere which is casuing noise on your sound card / integrated sound amplifier

What sound system are you using and have you checked the cabling is not running over any other and picking up background noise?

Hello,

You are not hearing the modem sound as, like arachnoid mentioned, you have no modem installed.

Its problably your speakers generating some weird eletrical noise. Do you have any wireless phones near your speaker systems?

Could you record the sound with a external mic and upload it here?

(I thought someone had resurrected a post from 2000 :laugh: )

well, define modem noise ;). Is there just some random noise or are you really listening to the dialup sound.

If you put a mobile near some speaker systems it will sometimes pick up the occasional signal request the phone emits to local ariels maybe this is what your hearing

Oh for sure I thought the topic title said Modern noise, like Windows 8 was making noises.

 

But it's probably just your speakers getting interference.
