Not entirely sure why you included the classes s1-4.

Is that just for allowing individual design edits or habit? It makes no difference design wise otherwise.

I added these classes for styling each block in a different way, this could also be done with nth-child but I'm more a fan of using classes then using nth-child everywhere.

Where do you stand on AngularJS Seahorsepip?

Just another jquery library that's not really necessary to make something work.

If it was a precompiler it would have been interesting since we can then look into the actual compiled jquery code and learn from it.

It's not that I'm against jquery libraries and js libraries but something to make jquery even more simple is just unnecessary in my opinion.

Just to update on this (I'm aware it's been sometime) but there's an issue with the way it sizes itself when you hover over the sections from right to left at a fair speed from what I've found it's only for larger surfaces, not in the jsfiddle itself necessarily. Not earth shattering but I went ahead and updated it with a new version (one I originally made for my personal site).

http://jsfiddle.net/toL6oojf/2/

It also has anchors taken into consideration since that's what content features typically are for. Figured I'd share.

Just an update. I don't work for the company anymore but the graphic designer that work there made some changes to it. Not a good job at it but I can't do anything about it. Wish they call me to change it up. Would have done it for free. :-)

So they made the hover width wider so it fits more text? (Visitors like lots of long unclear text) Could be worse, like bounce animations :p

Nice, I would probably not use this though on a larger scale like the full bg because this design idea somehow doesn't fit that purpose I think.

It was for a 1400px wide content area (550px in height - then all of it scaled accordingly) I am not going to end up using it after all but it occupied my time so I was happy to give it a shot. I could justify using it in a few cases for a full-page cover but only in some instances.

    • I used to use Google assistant, not on the phone i have now, but about 7 years ago, then I decided it did not really do anything for me. Because i had Echo units over the house I added Alexa to the phone to control stuff and that is how it is now. Not the new Alexa+, as that is not really available in the U.K yet apart from on new units and to be honest, not interested in it. I went though the stage years ago of using voice to do text and call people, quicker to do it using my hands. I had a muck about with Siri on my Mac when I first got it, but not having a microphone permanently plugged in makes it a pain. I know it can be used by text. Siri like Apple AI is disabled on my Mac and will stay disabled.
    • I have a TV, but it is not used for normal linear TV, only streaming and it is not a Samsung and the best bit is, I don;'t and never have had a Instagram account. The only thing I have to do with Meta is Faceache and I only keep that just for the messaging part.
    • But building your own.. what? You can't build anything like the Steam Machine yourself. Even trying to get close costs a good deal more. Even just the CPU cooler in their price comparison is as big as the entire Steam Machine. If you want a regular gaming PC, then by all means, build that. If you want a a small console-like PC for the living room that is good for gaming, I'm not sure what else is a better deal. In the GN review, they only mentioned a small form factor Dell, which is like twice the size and hundreds of dollars more expensive.
    • Those are some popular multiplayer games. But hardly "all". Just those that don't work on Linux currently due to specific anti-cheat implementations. I think it's also fair to point out the literally thousands of games that don't work on the PS5. And it's not locked at 1080p. That's the default, which you can change.
