Alright y'all

This weekend on HBO boxing its Vitali Klitschko vs. Kirk Johnson.

Odds have it in favor for Vitali after his impressive showing against an under-trained Lennox Lewis. (N)

Im calling it in favor for the underdog Kirk. Just because if the new and supposedly improved Kirk is really on his game plan, then its lights out for Vitali. Not impressed by the Klitschkos at all really. Never thought they were the heir-apparents for the heavyweight thrones.

Also on the card! Yes, the somewhat impressive Baby Joe Mesi. In a water downed heavyweight division, this Italian kid may have a chance. We will see after this weekend if he truly has the goods. His last fight he knocked out Davryl Williamson in the first round and looked real good doing it. I, myself, was rather impressed at his willingness to exchange early on!

Call it if you can! Will it be Kirk or Vitali?

See you with the results on Saturday night... See you in the meantime for discussion.

edit: f'd up on the thread title. put Vlad when it should be Vitali. tough nuts. easy to get the two confused. lol.

I think Kirk Johnson will win the fight, but I'm not sure whether to call it by TKO or decision. The reason I say TKO is because Vladamir Klitschko seems to have a problem whenever he gets cut. The whole reason Lennox even was considered for winning that fight was because of the damage to the Vlad's left eye. And besides, Kirk Johnson will be about 85% better trained and in shape than was Lewis.

As far as Vlad and Vitali being overrated...I haven't seen enough of Vladamir's fights but Vitali is pretty damn good. But I think the heavyweight division as a whole is just lousy right now. There is nobody worth watching these days (except maybe Johnson if he wins this fight). I miss the days of the old Tyson, Riddick Bowe, Holyfield, Frank Bruno, Hasim Rahman, etc.

Can't wait until Dec. 13th though. Hopkins, Joppy, Rahman, Judah...ohhhhh yeaaaah.

edit: Hey digipoi, I used to live in Waipahu; went to school in Kaneohe at HPU-Windward. Hahaha, needless to say I was an outcast, but it was the only place affordable (and I knew someone there already). Kaneohe rocks! Best weather, best views, best scenery...besides San Francisco ;)

No doubt the heavyweight division rots. How bout Toney laying a whipping on an old ass Holyfield? Loved it.

Next weekends card should be good. Look forward to Rahman knocking out Luiz (Ruiz), Hopkins with an easy win. Judah easy win, whos his opponent?, never heard of him. Although, Judah is very talented, DO NOT CARE for his attitude, street punk.

The best was Paquiao vs, Barrerra. ****. I called that one. Could have got 7 to 1 odds if I put my money where my mouth was. Damn.

Sidenote (soloredd): Kaneohe rules right now with the rainy ass weather. Waterfalls all along the Ko'olaus. Damn beautiful. Gods country is what most people say. Sorry you have to be in SanFran right now. Just kidding. Aloha!

Vitali Klitschko because I am Ukranian...

no, his fight against Lewis really won me over

Theres nothing I like better than seeing Lennox lose. Damn near threw my chair out the window when Rahman knocked him out!

As far as the Klitschos' go, they never terribly impressed me. Ill tell you what, Lennox was in better shape for the first Rahman fight and he got knocked. Klitschko couldnt do it, but I do think he eventually "might" have got to him. But damn, that dude got cut the f*ck up big time. Theres no place in boxing for those types of cuts.

    • Google are hyprocrites for signing this. They have been pulling the same dirty tactics as Microsoft, only they do it on Android and ChromeOS.
    • In some countries the law has forced Microsoft to display a menu on a fresh install of Windows which asks which web browser you want and it will install that browser. This doesn't add any bloat to Windows. It simply an additional step when setting up a new PC.
    • Chrome is also a first party browser on Android and ChromeOS. And on those systems, Google is pulling the same dirty tactics as Microsoft does on Windows.
    • Unofficial script lets you install unreleased Windows 11 features without Microsoft Account by Sayan Sen Microsoft has been steadily evolving the Windows Insider Program over the years, introducing new channels and testing paths that allow enthusiasts to experience upcoming and yet-to-be-released Windows features (some interesting hidden ones too) before they reach the public. However, one long-standing requirement has remained largely unchanged as users are generally expected to enroll in the Program and with a Microsoft account. That's where a third-party tool called "OfflineInsiderEnroll" can help. OfflineInsiderEnroll is said to be a lightweight script that enables access to Windows Insider Program builds on systems that are not signed in with a Microsoft account. Essentially the tool configures the necessary Insider settings locally and hence allows users to select and switch between available preview channels while continuing to receive builds through the normal Windows Update channel. If you are wondering how it manages to do so, it is made possible by a Registry value known as TestFlags. When configured to"0x20", Windows stops communicating with Microsoft's online Insider enrollment services thus preventing locally configured Insider settings from being overwritten. This allows the script to apply its own channel configuration directly through the Registry as Windows Update does not verify whether a device has been officially enrolled in the Insider Program or not. Previously the utility has had already supported the traditional Insider branches including Dev, Beta, and Release Preview. However following Microsoft’s recent restructuring of its preview channels, the script has now been updated. The latest OfflineInsiderEnroll version, 2.6.6, adds support for the newly introduced Insider channel lineup. As such, users can now choose from several Experimental channels in addition to Beta and Release Preview options. The update also retains tools for refreshing the Insider cache, resetting Insider settings, and completely stopping Insider enrollment when needed. Keep in mind though that will need elevated privileges when running the script (run as Admin). You can get the latest version of OfflineInsiderEnroll from this page on its official GitHub repo.
    • The "Classic" Outlook has done that for a few years as well. The option to even change that is really hidden away too... It really shouldn't be hard to respect user defaults. Sadly we are the product now, not Outlook. To change in the Classic Outlook: File > Options > Advanced > change "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in"
