Firstly, the white taskbar idea is from Keynote, not your creation. I also didn't even know you had a keynote version(do you?), if you do i'm sure this one is not like it as i don't like the thick taskbar from keynote(i also didn't like the window flag in the start panel or the coloured startbutton).

are you trying to say your work is completely different than his because of those two differences?

im sorry, but that IS a rip

Yes. I have no copyright. But the themer should have the good honor and respect. They should ask the author about permission first about author's special customization. Cuz there's no real Keynote theme so themer have to make their own rendition. Like I created my Aero and Aero Keynote ones. It's my own customization which was ripped by ANDYLOGO.

Andy,

great theme. Suggestions:

Make it a little more colorful, not to cold. It does look good with the G5 icons though.

I would say clean up the border line of the black and white on the start panel as they appear to be distracting from the panel. It doesnt look right.

Maybe use some color blending in gray tones or even an aquafied highlight on the top of the menu to add a bevel to it. the black and white contrast on the top just doesnt feel right. It needs more.

Any possibility of a compact menu?

Other that that, it looks good. A tid to cold looking and not vibrant, but it does look good.

I don't know what the big deal is, they don't look even similar. Maybe its just me but the colour is completely different, caption buttons are different, startbutton is different, my caption bars have a slate/plex gradient effect not flat like yours, my startpanel has a screwy black line around the user pic(yours doesn't), taskband program highlights are completely different, and my captions and taskbar are way thinner.

@ GOJI_GKing2000

Thanks for the suggestions

Cheers

Full stop. That's very old work, man. Check it out in Transformation Pack. Start Panel's resource images are exactly same and also the rest of all too (Just remad that ToolBar and something else but it's my idea anyway) You can post many screenshot but you can't public it in themexp or some great theme site cuz it will be deleted becuase it was a rip. Ask some ppl who used my work and all of them will say it is a RIP! RIP does not mean everything must has no different but you just mod some resources to make your own.

One last time

I DID NOT RIP THIS THEME FROM WINDOWSX

I just don't understand how two themes that look so different despite being based on the same screenshots can be thought of as a rip. But i personally don't care what anyone says i will release this theme with the personal knowlegde and satisfaction that I created this theme by myself from scratch( and longhorn 4051 resources).

Cheers

This is absolutely ridiculous. It's ALL a copy of an original work by Microsoft, yet you don't see Microsoft whining like a little baby, do you? So just back off WindowsX, because, first of all, there are SO many differences that it's amazing you're complaining in the first place, and, second of all, I know I wouldn't listen to a word you have said so far, and it sounds like he isn't going to either.

@ANDYLOGO

GOJI_GKing2000 said exactly what I was thinking ;) Change those things and I think you'll have an awesome VS here. Also, I think that the bevel effect shown for the taskbar looks pretty good *nudge nudge* (Y)

Ok Guyz...Lets out it simple...

Differences:

1- Different Icons :p

2- Different Start Button

3- The shape of programs in taskbar

Similarites:

Too many to count but..here a few (Other than the SHell tyle)

1- LogOff and ShutDOWN buttons

2- The startmenu is exactly SAME

3- The button for expanding the taskbar icons

4- And everythin else...

I mean..come on..I can just use another iconset...change the start button and call it mine ??

If yes...Im ready here with a 100 themes..

@Andylogo.... It Wudn't hurt if u just ask...who knows if u ask nicely he might accept..

and now the most important thing...

U SAID U HAVEN'T SEEN HIS THEME !!....HOW DID U GET THE SHELL STYLE

Answer that :p

There's no lofoff buttons, no start panel background and no shellstyles. You can't even make your own shellstyles and Start panel's border size also same as mine even I mod it myself. How can you describe this? I bet you're modding my resources and move it to your VS with few difference.

I just don't understand how two themes that look so different despite being based on the same screenshots can be thought of as a rip.

You make me so mad! screenshot? There's no good quality screenshot so themer has to make his/her own rendition. But you still make it just like me even I make it all myself.

I feel so mad and hate you so much about your reply cuz it's reasonless answer to avoid ripping. If you ask me straightly to use my modification, I would regardly hand you some. But you're not!

I already explained the shellstyle i modified his slate version from themexp. Mine still jumps it is not fixed size.

taskbar expander button is from longhorn 4051 resources

what else do you want an explanation for.

cheers

Shellstyle also rip anyway. (Not modication because it has exactly background and buttons which I fix buttons trans myself and I tune bg myself too)

I won't talk on this thread anymore because sucking work is not important for me to say. Just a waste of time (Better go updating my work from LTP on themexp)

If you want to rule this, MSN [email protected] and I'll show you my work.

Now you're getting even more ridiculous. Hating somebody over a damn VS... That's a new one... Well, like I said, I don't think what you do will work, so you better just stop now... As for the whole rip aspect, I don't see how it could be. Have you not heard the saying "Great minds think alike"? Two people could easily create the same rendition from the crappy screenshots posted about the net of it. Easily. So do not assume that it is a rip; it is irrational and jumping to the conlusion, which is never a good thing to do. I suggest you just stop now, before you give yourself a heart failure, especially when it's only over a VS...

EDIT: Note the calm tone in which I was "speaking" in this post. It helps when trying to converse with people...

    • Steam Summer Sale 2026 kicks off offering weeks of PC game discounts by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Every year, one of the biggest events that Valve hosts is the Steam Summer Sale. Now, the 2026 edition has just kicked off, bringing discounts for everything from the newest games and retro gems to all sorts of DLC packs. As always though, PC gaming hordes have managed to shake the servers of Steam just as the sale opened its doors, so expect the prices, store pages, and services to not show up properly for some time till the backend stabilizes. You'll find sales being present, though with minor cuts, for even relatively recently released titles this time. The front page is the place to be for anyone looking for recommendations, with it putting a spotlight on fresh games every day. However, keep in mind that the discounts themselves will not be changing and will remain static throughout the sale. Blockbusters like Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Split Fiction, Red Dead Redemption II, Battlefield 6, Dispatch, Baldur's Gate 3, Resident Evil Requiem, Anno 117, Arc Raiders, Black Ops 7, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and much more are currently discounted. Valve has also brought back the special "Deep Discounts" section. While part of this same sale, it only highlights games that are discounted by at least 85%, with some titles even reaching 95% off. Some of the games included here are The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Watch Dogs 2, Far Cry 4, Wreckfest, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, The Quarry, Ghostwire Tokyo, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, and much more for just a few dollars each. The Steam Summer Sale of 2026 will be open for business until July 9, giving everyone two whole weeks to try and keep their wallets closed. If you want to see the biggest highlights, be sure to read our Weekend PC Game Deals special coming this Saturday.

    • Google reshuffles its AI coding team as it struggles to catch Anthropic by Karthik Mudaliar Google is already reorganizing the AI coding “strike team” it created roughly two months ago, as it attempts to find ways to close the gap with Anthropic in one of generative AI’s most commercially important areas. According to The Information, Google DeepMind is expanding the team’s focus to include “midtraining,” rather than concentrating only on coding tools and agents. Midtraining takes place after a model’s broad initial training but before the final stages that prepare it to follow instructions and perform specific tasks. In simple terms, it gives developers another opportunity to expose a model to carefully selected data before it is polished for release. That could help Google improve Gemini’s underlying coding abilities instead of relying only on better prompts, interfaces, or post-training. Previous research has found that midtraining can be particularly effective for code and mathematics, where models must move from general language knowledge to more structured tasks. Google reportedly created the original strike team in April. It was led by Google DeepMind research engineer Sebastian Borgeaud, who previously worked on model pretraining, and focused on complex, long-running programming jobs. Google co-founder Sergey Brin and Google DeepMind chief technology officer Koray Kavukcuoglu were also reportedly involved in the effort. DeepMind researchers were said to believe that Anthropic’s coding tools were outperforming Google’s Gemini models, prompting the company to give the project more attention. Anthropic has made coding a central part of its AI strategy through Claude Code and its Claude model family. The company has continued improving that area, with Claude Opus 4.8 offering upgrades for coding and other agentic tasks, along with the now-unavailable Mythos and Fable models. The reshuffle also comes at a time when Google faces increased competition for AI researchers. Gemini co-lead Noam Shazeer recently announced that he was leaving Google for OpenAI, while two other researchers who contributed to Gemini and DeepMind projects are reportedly preparing to join Anthropic. It remains unclear whether the reorganized team will produce a new public Gemini model or developer product. No release date, team size, or specific performance target has been disclosed.
