We?re just a bit over a month to E3, and today a source that opted to remain anonymous contacted us to share what he alleges to be Sony Computer Entertainment?s plans for their press conference.

Our source mentioned that the information comes from contacts within Sony?s worldwide studios and a further contact at the BBH New York marketing firm, which works with Sony for part of its promotion.

The info reported below is awfully detailed, which is one of the reasons why we decided to publish it, but we were also able to confirm part of it with a second source. The double-sourced information is bolded, so while you should take everything with the customary grain of salt, the bolded parts stand on more solid ground than the rest.

2014-05-0719_55_41-ru11og2.png

The source also mentioned that the following publishers will be on stage: Rockstar (with Grand Theft Auto), Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Konami, Capcom, Warner Bros, Activision, Square Enix, Take Two.

(Update: our source followed up saying that he?s actually not 100% sure if Rockstar will actually be on stage or Sony will just announce the next generation Ground Theft Auto V on their behalf)

There will also big titles announced for the Instant Game Collection, a segment on Project Morpheus, one on the Sony Entertainment Network and a re-introduction of PlayStation Now. Price drops will also be unveiled for the PS3 and PS Vita.

We?ll also see several smaller-scale, downloadable titles. PS Vita Vita will get some attention, but not much ? as it?ll be a PS4 show. PS3 will get a montage and few new titles. Finally, the show will close with a teaser of a sequel of The Last of Us.

Again, everything mentioned above should be taken with the skepticism usually reserved to rumors, but much of it is so specific that it?s hard to completely disbelieve it. Unfortunately we?ll have to wait for June to see if everything will check out, but one thing is for sure: Personally I really hope it will, because if this is really what Sony?s presser will look like, we?re in for a real treat.

Only really posting this so Andy can freak out about Heavenly Sword 2 :p

The E3 leak machine running as usual this year to deflate all the conference surprises!

Heavenly Sword 2 and Wipeout :woot:* hugs PS4*  I so hope those rumours are real.

GT6 coming to PS4 would be nice since I've yet to pick it up. Was tempted recently with the ?15 price tag.

God of War 4...eh - I wish they'd give it a break. I was down on them for Ascension despite it being solid gameplay as always. The story has reached it's limits though, so it needs a big emphasis in that department if they're to continue. No doubt it will look amazing but.

Semi-disappointed MM's title will be Morpheus-exclusive from the sounds of it, unless the hardware is going to be decently priced.

No Crash rumour? :(

dualshockers.com ???

seems everyone and their mother is now an insider or has one

1.compile a list of all possible, and unlikely scenarios.

2.when event occurs, claim your list nailed things that were on list, and the false things were the result of changes or obscure details.

3. congratulations. you are now officially an industry insider.

people cant keep their mouths shut, can they :/

Cant wait for a bunch of devs to claim they've gotten "100% out of the PS4" with their brand new poorly optimised engines.

do you optimize game engines for a living?

No, but prior experience isn't a requirement for criticism, it happens all the time, they announce "We've gotten 100% out of X or Y console". because technically it is true, the game is pushing the console to its limits, but then they announce a sequel a year later and it looks much, much better. Usually better from a technical standpoint too.

I think it's dishonest, it gives the impression to people that games aren't going to get better than that.

"I think Uncharted 1 used maybe 30 percent efficiency. Uncharted 2 we were finally using 100 percent, but it wasn't as efficient as it could be. Then, Uncharted 3 we got way more efficient," Minkoff explains. "With The Last of Us, we are as efficient as we can possibly be. It's just squeezing every last drop of power out of the system.

When Naughty Dog claimed Uncharted 2 was using 100% of the PS3, I think it's deceptive. It makes people think it will never improve. I've seen other devs claim it last gen too, when consoles were 1-2 years old they were claiming to using "100% of its potential" Kojima claimed the exact same about MGS4.

Turn 10 is already claiming they're using 100% of the Xbox One. Witcher 3 is already claiming to use "nearly" 100% of the X1 and PS4.

To re-iterate, I know they're technically correct, but I find it very misleading for the general public.

why will God of War offset Gears of War?

I was thinking the exact same thing.

I guess it's good to "kill" any momentum a competitor mite gain.  But it also gives a different message as well (And I don't mean that in a positive way)

Because they'll probably be releasing in the same time frame as one another?

In the past it was the original Uncharted trilogy vs Gears trilogy. Both of them were used as benchmarks of each console as pushing the hardware properly for next-gen.

Gears is not coming for another year or two and they both have not much in common. :/ It's like showing Uncharted to counter Halo 5.

It's not about genre vs genre. Just as it wasn't for Titanfall vs inFamous. They both released in the same month for a reason and it wasn't coincidence.

I still don't see point of explicitly marking it as "to offset Gears". Both are established IPs with core fanbase. Nothing Sony does in God of War will make a Gears fan drop Gears4 and pick God of war. The rest of the audience won't care for the game announcement at E3.

Not sure what you think offset means, but it's clearly not what the rest of us define it as.

offset
something that counterbalances, counteracts, or compensates for something else; compensating equivalent.

They're not insulting Gears, they're not belittling it as inferior, they aren't trying to steal fans from the series.

They're releasing a product at the same time (as close as they can). Why this needs to be explained to you I've no idea. It's nothing new and every holiday or release period of the year is exactly the same and always will be, nor is it exclusive to games.

A PS fans wetdream of an E3 list is "leaked" and we're arguing about GoW vs GoW? Cmon chaps, get a grip :P

It says to offset partially the MS presser - It's two long term and well known franchises, if Sony are introducing a lot of new stuff it counts to introduce something tried, tested and big. I would take it as to do that for them if MS are going to bring the old school powerhouses as well.

I pretty much expected most of these games to get announced, and trying to see the reasoning of big games companies often hillarious decisions is amusing sometimes.

It's pretty much explained in Jimquisitions video. "The Unholy Trinity of Greedy Bastards". You can probably guess what the censored word is and search for it.

In summary many executives are from "Packaged Goods" backgrounds and dont understand Video Games, and they rely on marketing departments who came from Packaged Goods too.

Edit: Bastards isn't on the censor? Weird.I guess it's ok then. :D I'll link it (NSFW, Jim swears a bit) http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/jimquisition/9045-The-Unholy-Trinity-Of-Blind-Greedy-Bastards

The Last Guardian in 2014? I'm not sure if I'll ever believe it's getting released.

Hope this list isn't fake, really keen to see more of The Order. If they wow me with this E3 conference I'll be rushing to get a PS4 this year for sure.

Great wish list, but I wouldn't get too excited yet.

I certainly would like to see something like Heavenly Sword 2 and Wipeout though.

If this list is true, then it will be a good E3 for Sony. I can't wait to see it. There are several games that I really want to see more of like The Order.

I also want to see what the Sony Japan people come out with, along with Quantic Dreams. The Syphon Filter reboot could be cool. The Morpheus stuff is a real dark horse for me. I could be fairly uninterested or very interested based on what they announce.

It sounds like they will be devoting some time to their entertainment services as well, so I'm interested in seeing what they announce in that area. Maybe they are ready with their tv service. Hearing more about Playstation Now will be cool too.

Now that the rumor-mongers have started, I wonder what we will see from MS. They have been very vocal about a game focus, so is it possible that this E3 will be one of the best E3's in a while? If both Sony and MS hit it out of the park with wall to wall games, how can you go wrong.

It honestly reads more like a 10 year olds XMas gift list to Santa Claus than what would be an actual conference. It is just to jam packed.

If that list is somehow true, it would be the best e3 conference ever from a purely varied gaming perspective.

As such I am very, very skeptical of it being accurate.

 I know what offset means. Just rephrase my post as "Why would GoW will counterbalance GoW" or rather why would Sony care about counterbalancing anything when announcing one of their established IP. That wording in the list doesn't make sense (for reasons mentioned below).

Why do you think I thought it as insulting? (p.s. Lost interest in Gears after 2).

My GoW post was way of pointing out that this can't be official :p list. It's too long (unless Sony is doing a 3-5 hr long conf) and it's almost too good to be true.

I forgot to add, if this is true, its also interesting that Sony would wait on showing some game content simply based on what MS does. While I guess it makes sense for them to react to what MS does, it seems strange to hold back game content if they feel they don't need to react to something MS does.

GTA V on PS4!, that and the Morpheus 3D VR are the ones I'm interested in.

Also wondering what games these guys are bringing to the PS4 table (Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Konami, Capcom, Warner Bros, Activision, Square Enix, Take Two.)

    • Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) 18.1.5.5 by Razvan Serea Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) is a utility for completely removing AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL graphics drivers and related packages from your system, attempting to eliminate all leftovers (including registry entries, folders and files, driver store). Though AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL drivers can usually be removed via the Windows Control Panel, this uninstaller tool was created for situations where standard uninstall fails, or when you need to fully remove NVIDIA or ATI graphics card drivers. After using this driver cleaner, your system will behave as though it’s the first time you’re installing a new driver—similar to a fresh Windows installation. As with all such tools, we recommend creating a restore point beforehand, allowing you to undo changes if issues arise. If you're having trouble installing an older or newer driver, try it—there are reports that it resolves such problems. Recommended usage: The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safemode is always the best. Make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe). It is best to exclude the DDU folder completely from any security software to avoid issues. You do NOT need to uninstall the driver prior using DDU. Requirements: .NET Framework 4.8 Compatible with Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11 (32-bit or 64-bit) Note: Using on Insider Preview builds is at your own risk.
