LEAKED - Microsoft E3 2014 On the DL. This info comes from the highest source and contains near full details of Microsoft E3 2014 conference. I have had corroborations from a number of sources to its legitimacy:
  • Ryse 2 is in development and will be announced at the show in a real-time in-game trailer. Gone is the Roman period, enter the medieval setting. The game will offer more freedom of exploration and a refined combat system. The main character is a sell-sword of sorts with a greater destiny. This game looks beyond belief. No release date (possibly late 2016)

  •  Forza Horizon 2 will be announced for release in October 2014 vai Playground Games. It will once again be open world and set in Louisiana, Missisips, New Mexico, Texas and Arkansas. Full day/night cycle, real time weather. Estimated 80 hour single player.

  • 343 Industries will unveil Halo 2: Anniversary. This is a full (multiplayer included) visual makeover of Halo 2, it will also include the same options as Halo Anniversary (Including both visual modes) skulls etc. It will include the E3 2003 mission as a bonus unlockable and the maps from the PC version.

  • No Turn 10 this year except in supportive capacity of Playground.

  • Halo 5 will get its release date.

  • Rare is prepping a re-boot of Battletoads and Perfect Dark. BT will initially be a download only title (see Killer Instinct) and is set to run at 60fps. Perfect Dark is looking to be rebooted into a Third Person Adventure game - Similar to Uncharted.

  • Epic will be there to unveil their new game base on the Samaritan demo from 2012. This will be XBOX ONE EXCLUSIVE as Microsoft is the publisher. Possibly the best looking game of this generation.

  • Good Science Studios will unveil their Kinect Only game "EchoBlack" - The game is controlled via the use of Kinect and the player plots through an adventure game drawn as by echolocation. The vibrancy of the world depicted alters depending on the pitch, loudness and location of the players voice. No release date.

  • Twisted Pixel will reveal their next digital game which is set in a sci-fantasy planet of Dekelsus. Possibly a 2.5D platformer.

  • Black Tusk will have a CGI trailer for Gears of War : Lazurus which will show the direction the series is heading.

  • Lift London will be showing 2 projects. They are small and digital based. No other details unfortunately.

  •  Lionhead will have a brief gameplay of Fable Legends and bow out with a teaser of their next project which is set in a post-cataclysmic Earth decimated by egg shaped objects (possibly aliens)

  •  Frontier Development is working on a family friendly Kinect title for release in 2014

  • Phantom Dust : Sacrifice is being worked on by Grounding Inc and will be a prequel to the original. The game will be episodic in nature.

  • Quantum Break will be out November 2014 - There is a multiplayer mode - Part 1 of a trilogy. The game has had a significant graphical upgrade since last year.

  • Sunset Overdrive is aiming for release on the last weeks of August/Early September. Graphically it looks like the CG trailer and the Parkour element of the game is a mix of Sonic, Jet Set Radio and Ratchet and Clank.

  • The secret Japanese game is coming from Platinum Games and is a Viewtiful Joe like action- beat em up. Codename is "RugPuddle". This is part one of a multiple game deal with Microsoft to publish other titles in the future.

  • Leap Experience Pioneers will announce their game which looks like a TPS/RPG hybrid set in a Sci-fi universe. Looks very Mass Effect inspired. COMING 2015

  • Platform Next Games is a new studio. They will be presenting an unnamed tech demo based on an upcoming project (similar to Black Tusks demo last year) which appears to be set in either an ancient or fantasy setting.

  • Games With Gold will be announced for Xbox One starting immediately. The aim is that it will be 1 retail game a month, 1 digital game per month of a choice of 2. This will evolve as time goes on.

  • Microsoft will announce the date when retail units can be activated as development kits, it will be before October 2014.

  • Crackdown: Skyline - Coming 2015 - No other info, not even the developer. Microsoft Studios.

  • Multi-platforms are as follows:
The Division (Xbox One is now lead platform)
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Fallout 4
EA game (not specified here)

Exclusive/Timed DLC on all.

That's all.

Too good+long to be true but I will end with this :p

I wouldn't be surprised if they're in reboot mode, what started with KI can easily keep going with reboots for Perfect Dark and other IPs they own.  Having said that though, the timing of these two "leaks" for both MS and Sony is suspect.

Saw a tech demo of Samaritan and it looks good!

Probably the only game in the list that interests me atm.

Who does not get bored after 10mins on any "Smart" phone game? 5mins to start up my laptop and at least have a decent game running with its own logic.....

I cannot call any "Smart Phone" smart, unless it does something for me more or equal to than my pc (And no, basic email is not "Smart")

Interesting list, I'm looking forward to hearing more on Horizon 2, loved the first.

Hopefully the games using Kinect should be worth checking out too.

Need to add the event stream (along with the Sony one) to my calender :p

I see that all my wishes game-wise have been fulfilled.

Therefore I automatically cannot believe this  :/.

I want to believe.

Also, that Kinect game looks intriguing. Though I imagine I'd look a fool sitting there playing a game going "ping....ping...ping....PING.....ping" to navigate

I'm not sure how this relates to my post.. ;/

Wasn't samaritan revealed as a pre tech demo with no game or universe behind it, just a "see what we can do" tech demo, like the nviia demos ?

I've only seen the tech demo; below.

While i'm not saying that rumor list is bad it just... not that exciting. Much of it is also rather predictable, making it that much less interesting.

Wow You're hard to please aren't you... interesting considering how excited a handful of predictable nintendo games get you ;) :p

Honestly, if this list was to happen, MS would hands down have the best console to won for the next few years. unfortunately just including stuff like crackdown and samaritan among a few others reveals it's not remotely a realistic list.

MS should just pack up it's kit and go home with just a placeholder by it's stand with the following.......

Thanks to some bellend, we've nothing new to report now, so you might as well go look elsewhere because as per usual, the surprise has been taken out of it all by an idiot.

ummm... even if the list is true, it doesn't reveal anything about what these all are. which is what we want to see, a lot of them we know are being shown as well.

Does anyone think they will announce a price cut or anything?

Of course I missed out on the sale of the xbox one with titanfall for $450.

I don't want to pay $500 for later this summer and it drops a bit more.

I personally think there will be a permanent price drop.  But who knows.

I just hope there's a killer game released during E3, that kills the annual "summer drought"

Yeah I am hoping it's cheaper than their last sale price.   That and GTA 5, I'd be set.  All the other games come out later this year, or they come out for the 360.  So I can wait a bit.

I just hope there's a killer game released during E3, that kills the annual "summer drought"

There is like 0.0000001% chance of that happening :p Especially considering the leaks we think we know. They'd have to have kept a studio working on something secretly for 2 years at least, ship/go gold and without any marketing at all. It would kill sales. Just look at Sega's surprise Saturn announcement at E3. Assuming that is what you mean anyway. Hopefully we see SoA return on 360 and brought to X1.

Would be awesome if MS brought back the E3 demos to XBL & free week of XBL Gold circa 2006.

Sounds like FUD to me.

'Epic will be there to unveil their new game base on the Samaritan demo from 2012. This will be XBOX ONE EXCLUSIVE as Microsoft is the publisher. Possibly the best looking game of this generation.'

I highly doubt MS would write something like that, so it'd have to be written by someone that's played the game, as that's only people working in Epic, the whole things just sounds like garbage to me.

Don't ruin a little boys dream Andy (although I'm 6'5" 275lbs)...  But a little boy nonetheless...  :D

I'll take a Summer of Arcade as well... As long as the games are good... I'm down for it...

    • I wonder how many are laid off for cost savings, and this being blamed on AI to make it sound less scary and bad, for a more positive "modern, with the times" spin for investors? Because Oracle is down 14% the past year. We're looking at a company struggling here. If AI would actually be working out so well for them that they can do massive layoffs, surely this would've been reflected the past year in their stock value?
    • AI is the beginning, wait until real robots replace more jobs, specifically jobs that require physical work.
    • AI is indeed eliminating jobs, and Oracle just proved it by Hamid Ganji There’s no question that AI has become the hottest trend in workplaces, and every company is trying to adopt AI-driven solutions across its operations. While some industry leaders repeatedly say AI won’t lead to massive layoffs, recent data suggest that AI is actually one of the main reasons some companies are reducing their workforce. According to Oracle’s annual regulatory filing, the company has laid off about 21,000 employees, or 13% of its workforce, amid increasing AI adoption. “The adoption and deployment of AI technologies across our operations have resulted, and may continue to result, in reductions to our workforce,” Oracle said in the filing. The software giant now has approximately 141,000 full-time employees, a notable decrease from 162,000 during the same period last year. Restructuring expenses, including severance payments, cost Oracle $1.84 billion in fiscal 2026. Additionally, around 49,000 Oracle employees were based in the U.S., while approximately 92,000 were employed internationally. Like many other companies, Oracle has fully embraced AI and concentrated much of its efforts on the technology. The company is also a key participant in the United States’ $500 billion Stargate Project, which aims to build multiple AI data centers across the country. When it comes to AI adoption and its impact on the workforce, opinions remain divided. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, whose company has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI boom, recently said in an interview that attributing job cuts to AI is a “lazy” narrative. “The narrative that connects AI to job loss, for many of the CEOs that are doing it – it is just too lazy. AI has just arrived, how is it possible they're already losing jobs?” Huang said. However, statistics and recent reports tell a different story. According to Layoffs.fyi, 196 tech companies have laid off about 119,800 employees so far this year. Reducing staff and replacing roles with AI agents could become one of the most significant trends in the job market in the years ahead.
