I like how keeps telling the reporters there to "understand what the product can do".

Obviously Panay is a little sick of all the reviews that can't quite decide if it's a laptop, tablet, and why it needs to have a better kickstand for laptop mode   :D

HA! I'm going to quote him forever "If you don't have a pointer on tablet you can't get stuff done"! .. I can't remember his exact words, but he pretty much said that.

Yes, but taken out of context as he was referring to the touchpad, and then said that's no longer an issue with the new version.

wow that click is so simple yet brilliant :)

isn't that OneNote?

Yep, that was all done via OneNote (from the blog at The Verge)

And taking pictures too via the pen. Nice

Well that event confirms it. Microsoft definitely sees the PC as dead and wants to move past it.

Should be interesting to see how this affects PC OEMs.

In terms of the new Surface Pro 3. It looks cool, but I'm not sure I want it over my iPad just yet.

Does the pen still sit on the side or does it have a silo, I didn't see via the live stream?

also noticed he didn't mention market availability, keen to here what markets this is coming to and when

Again going by the Verge blog, it'll be able to order from tomorrow, but they think that it's pre-orders only.

Not sure about markets.

Yep, I think he was referring to how silly sometimes is to place a cursor at a particular position in text when you're using touch.

I still think it comes back to what you want to do.

I mean if the answer to that question is I want to browse the web on the toilet, play apps and not spend $1000 then the ipad (or surface 2) is the product for you.  If however the question was I want all that but also to be productive, I think I'll need a laptop but I want to be mobile, I want touch, I want the best inking experience ever...then the surface pro 3 may be for you.

Ok yea, that new model is impressive as all hell.  Definitely picking one of these up in the somewhat near future, glad I waited.  Time to put the Androids, my old Windows tablet and laptop up on EBay I think.. replace them all with one device that does everything.  Laptop's getting long in the tooth anyway and was tired of carrying multiple devices around.  Looks like they nailed it this time.

bit of a wait and limited availability at launch.  Bloody Microsoft :(

The Pro 3 isn't targeting the iPad;  it's targeting your notebook - or your laptop, especially a legacy laptop.

Better screen resolution than most notebooks or laptops, better battery life than any notebook or laptop I've heard of, and NO software learning curve (unless you're running Windows 7 or earlier), as it will run ALL the software you use today.

Here's the $64USD question - can the Surface Pro 3 run Crysis 3 - at the native resolution of the display - with decent performance?

If the Pro 3 can do that, it is decidedly a notebook killer.

With features like HTTPS Everywhere and built-in tracker blocking, Brave keeps your online activities safe from prying eyes. Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. And it does all this by default. Speed - Brave is built on Chromium, the same technology that powers Google Chrome, and is optimized for speed, providing a fast and responsive browsing experience. Brave Browser also features Brave Rewards, a system that rewards users with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing opt-in ads. This innovative system provides an alternative revenue model for content creators and a way to support the Brave community. SlimBrave Neo takes all the good things about Brave and makes them even better by keeping everything clean, light, and privacy-focused. It removes the extra clutter, turns off features you might not need, and cuts down on anything that could slow you down or collect unnecessary data. Because it relies on simple settings and policies instead of modifying the browser itself, you still get full Brave compatibility—just in a smoother, lighter, and more privacy-friendly package.
