Request(Longhorn 4051 Download Manager

hi, can anyone out there program a download manager just like the one in buid 4051?

i'm not a programmer at all, just wondering

and make it work for IE/Netscape/Mozilla/firebird/Opera

I'll work on one, but I need the bitmaps. Someone please use Resource Hacker or another resource tool to extract the bitmaps/icons/PNG files and upload them.

I wish XP did support bluetooth hopefully longhorn will :)

LH does support bluetooth, i have the bluetooth mouse and keyboard, and longhorn worked out of the box with them, yet xp is hell setting them up :D

I'm doing it. I did a UserControl that represents a list item, and I'm working on a class that provides programmatic access to that list item, and then will do a UserControl that is a listbox for download items, and then do the download code.

I've got a working download list box. Now I just need to add download code and some toolbar buttons! Again, someone please post those icons and bitmaps. I really need them to make this look authentic.

Edit: Finished the listbox completely, along with some objects. Also, I added an "Add" button that adds an entry to the list, with the URL you specify. Tomorrow, I'll write some code to do the actual download.

Hmm. Could you then post screenshots of the enabled AND disabled states for all the Download Manager icons? Thanks.

em not too possible, coz i dont really run it. i just accessed its partition from xp.

its way to sluggish to use.

Could you check:

C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\*.* (all EXEs and DLLs in that folder)

C:\WINDOWS\shdocvw.dll

post the dialog that when u click on a download link it pops up and says u want to save it etc

becoz memodude u should have that as the main starting form

@Winston: Your solution has the bitmaps, but they look like heck and only have one state (some of the buttons are in the enabled state and some in the disabled state).

Also, I'm going to make the download box a little different from the normal IE one but similar.

i found 2 bmps in one of the files, i'm going to post them soon

Could you please post those in PNG? The JPEG fuzz renders them useless for putting in to apps.

lol yeah it took me ages i got freakfriday's screenshots and just had to slowly cut them
