How to change 'shellstyle.dll'

Can anyone help me to change shellstyle.dll?

I'm using styleXP with a visual style, and i want to change the shellstyle.. but i don't know how to do that.

what do you want to change? just some parts of it? edit it with resource hacker.

if you want a new one, you can probably just swap shellstyle.dll files. just put another one in its place in that particular folder. i haven't tried it, but i assume it'll work.

i want to swap the default shellstyle.dll with the new file. but change the dll's from the windows explorer doesn't works.. it goes back normal again! :(

that's why I'm asking about this.. :(

is the theme in use? change the theme to something else, like windows classic, then copy the new shellstyle.dll and paste it in the shell folder that has the old shellstyle.dll. i assume it should work, since they're named the same.

but i think replacer also replaces shellstyle.dll, though i'm not sure: http://www3.telus.net/_/replacer/

and if nothing works, just edit it with reshacker. just copy over the images and save it.
