I consider myself a pretty avid gamer, though I do limit myself to Xbox One, 360, and some PC. Honestly mostly the consoles and am waiting for a nice PS4 bundle as my first ever PlayStation purchase.

I wanted to make this thread because I know there are genres I do not push attention to: Fighting, sports, racing (with the exception of Forza Horizon &2), etc.

So I don't often buy games at full price anymore, prefer to get used at Amazon.

Anyways:
Destiny, Sept.
Forza Horizon 2, Sept.
Sunset Overdrive, Oct.
Far Cry 4, Nov.
Halo: MCC, Nov.
Witcher 3, Feb.

Games I'll buy discounted:
Dragon Age Inquisition
Shadows of Mordor
Maybe CoD, first one since BO1.

What am I really missing out on? I don't often but season passes etc either, only ever for BF3/4 and Titanfall. Destiny and Forza might get the treatment and IF any extra content to Witcher 3... Though they like to give it for free so that's nice.

Long winded, sorry. TL;DR? What games are you excited for?

Twitcher, Spanish Inquisition and GTA V (PC release). First allows no reasons, the bar's just that much up there. Second - let's see if they can get series out of the pit they've methodically steered it in with nearly everything after DAOU or else I'm done with it. Third - it's GTA, alright? Also, so I can brag of how much prettier and polished it is than "beta-test" release and keep on with my Master Race agenda *cough* I jest, I jest... Nothing more, really, because if these three prove to be even half of what I'm expecting them to be, it'll take enough time.

Destiny

The Last of Us Remastered

Shadow of Mordor

Evolve

Civ Beyond Earth

Golden Abyss and Unit 13 PS Vita (will get them after next payday hahah i know they're not new)

COD Advanced Warfare (yeah i know)

Assassin's Creed Unity

Forza Horizon 2

Far Cry 4

Alien Isolation

Borderlands Pre-Sequel

Sunset Overdrive

Lords of the Fallen

Many.

The bigger ones:

Wolfenstein as it's on sale via Deals with Gold Thursday-Monday so I'll be picking it up (33% off, PvZ is also on sale starting today, but I can't have everything :( )

Destiny

Halo

Sunset Overdrive

GTA V

Generally speaking:

Any game I can grab off Games w/Gold for free (picked up Halo SW, Max, and Guacamelee and haven't played any yet).

Any game I come across for cheap and looks interesting (picked up 60 Second Shooter Prime for like $5 a week or two ago and haven't played it yet).

  • Destiny - can't wait to get my hands on the demo
  • Forza Horizon 2
  • Assassin's Creed Unity - picked up Black Flag recently
  • Far Cry 4
  • The Crew

And the games that I'm still playing through on my 360 :P

Well I need to get a Wii U, but...

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth

Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire

Super Smash Bros for 3DS

F1 2014 (When it's announced)

Can't think of anything else at present.

Destiny

The Last of Us Remastered

Shadow of Mordor

Evolve

Civ Beyond Earth

Golden Abyss and Unit 13 PS Vita (will get them after next payday hahah i know they're not new)

COD Advanced Warfare (yeah i know)

Assassin's Creed Unity

Forza Horizon 2

Far Cry 4

Alien Isolation

Borderlands Pre-Sequel

Sunset Overdrive

Lords of the Fallen

Wow Neo that is quite the list you got there....  Nice list of games to keep you busy for awhile...

The game I am most looking forward to is The Last of Us Remastered, despite having already played the SP campaign on the PS3.

Other than that, Far Cry 4 (Far Cry 3 was such a surprise of a game I am getting 4 day-one), then a bit further out there is Witcher 3 , Division and The Order I am most looking forward to.

"Thrilled" is such a strong word.

I look forward to GTAV for the PC, but that's it.  The last game I played was GTAIV, again on the PC back when it was still pretty new.

The one machine I have that could run it (the one I played GTAIV on) is now a full-time VM host, so I'll have to put another one together to play it...so the longer it takes for it to come out, the more I'll be able to put off building that PC.  The next-best PC I have that could handle a decent video card is a Core2Quad machine, but I don't know if the *CPU* will be able to handle it.  Have the system requirements been made public yet?

Halo:MCC is automatic buy for me.

No Man's Sky

Ori

Shadow of Mordor

Destiny (though I am very much on the fence when it comes to buying it)

No Man's Sky is this year? Thought it was "2015".

And yeah, my list is quite long, and that's not even including surprise stuff that will come along...games make me happy. They make all of us happy i assume, that's why we're here, so why not? Get more! Your list is too short Showan!

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
