"I can tell by your additude, you're a cheater"

Eh, I don't see how that follows. First of all, I used to play tfc and cs but stopped because I just got tired of it, and I never cheated. Nonetheless, I think it's total bs what those people did and I'd beat the **** out of the guy who threw my computer if that happened to me. Seriously, the people who did that have lost touch with reality if they think they are justified in destroying someone else's expensive equipment because he made their game playing momentarily less fun. They are infinitely more childish than the cheater...

yeah, I admit, I typed in god mode on quake single player, sure, it's fun cheating in a single player game, but I've not once ever cheated in a multiplayer game, that just ruins everyone elses fun.

oh, and btw, that computer wasn't even near $2000, it's doubtful, if you look at the size of the case and the cards that fell out of it, i would guess that it had a network card and some type of video card, either built in or a pci one (it's just too small to have an agp slot) and maybe one or two free pci/isa slots.

Here's why they can't go to court.. it's simple, cheating is against half life's user agreement policy and valve/sierra could sure him at the drop of a hat. (although, I do admit, they would have a hard time finding evidence since the cammra never did show his screen, and that valve wouldn't persue it anyway)

Even if they did go to court, all he'd be rewarded at most was the estimated value of his computer, not what he originaly paid for it.

And, yes, it is childish, but so what? It's funny, it's the best way to embarass the hell out of him for his stupidity to cheat at a lan party.

if that was a real situation he can sue that pants off that company

just because some loud mouth screams cheater two seconds later he is being caried out and tossed on the ground thats assault plus destroying his computer= distruction of property, and the public humiliation if he doesn't sue then he's as stupid as he was for cheating. all he needs is to bring that video to court and he's won the case. money in the pocket

i think everybody had to sign an agreement.

there's prolly some paragraph which says organizers are not responsible for any damages.

also dude was spotted and carried out by guy in offical shirt...

i agree it was a bit extreme. but i'm very annoyed by cheaters...who knows what i might have done if i found such guy.

as for those who say they would fight back, you ass would be owned by everybody else there:devious:

2 things:

1.poor guy shouldn't-a have had his comp busted..a simple humiliation and his ass thrown out woulda been enough.

2. dont they need some sort of minimal proof before they throw your ass out? like..i can call cheater any time and they chuck u out? im paying good money to attend the party..thats the least they could do...:ermm:

3. how can i find out if there is a lan party in my area?:D

    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
    • I think I understood the article fine. Online password managers open users up to more possibilities of getting hacked, and due to KeePass being offline and local it reduces the idea of getting hacked. If someone chooses to put their database online they're kinda missing the point. With regards to the idea of the on-prem idea, I would have two issues. I'm not sure about the first issue, but I wouldn't be surprised about them offering a cloud storage for the passwords that most wouldn't bother to switch off, regardless of if they went for on-prem or not. The second issue is that the on-prem solution for Bitwarden costs money, whereas KeePass is free and open-source (as far as I am aware). The article points out how to sync the database between devices, and I recognise that deficiency in security. But it isn't a necessity. So both services can offer a same idea, but one is free and the other isn't...choices, choices.... But to each their own.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
