I own several macs (all <1 year old) and an iPod, I own them because they do what I ask of them. I am 100% pleased with my purchases and I do plan to upgrade to new Apple products for two reasons:

1) Based on the experience I've had with my current Apple products they will be a "prefered supplier" when upgrade time rolls around

2) The service I've had from Apple retail stores and Apple care has been first rate. I reward companies that treat me well with my business (and I don't do business with places that rip me off)

3) Based on my experience with Windows XP, I will not be purchasing another version of Windows for at least three years.

It's not that I think Apple can do no wrong: they most certainly can - they just aren't right now. As long as apple designs products that meet/exceed my expectations I will buy from them: even if that isn't the popular choice. When people ask for my recomendations/advice I will point to apple because (IMO) they are the best computer company in the world right now (if they weren't I wouldn't own any).

nope, hate them..

i would probably install Linux on it if i got it as a gift..

they're very pretty tho.. its kinda like going out with a model.. sure, she's hot as f*ck, but can she do math with something other than iMath and without having to ForceQuit the damn thing 58 times?

I don't own a Mac (until Feb '04), but I am a Mac fanatic.

Personally I think I'm getting obsessed with them, everyday for around 8 hours (not 8hrs straight, I go to the gym to relax etc.) I'm researching into mac's and all the new mac rumours...I can't get enough of future updates etc. damn I can't wait to get my 20" iMac :)

I've never owned a PC, only macs. I'm a pretty big fanatic, I didn't intend of becoming such a fan, it just happens. I got my first comp in like summer of 2000, infact it was an iMac Summer 2000 model :) From there, its just exploded.

You would probably change your mind after using OS X for a while, OS X = *nix with a sweet hardware accelerated GUI :p

10.3 is the most stable OS I have used, even though my best uptime is only 34 days...

/me sighs...

i'm not even going to waste my time to go over how many things are wrong with that statement.

anyways, i'm going to choose not to vote.

sure i love my powerbook and plan to buy another apple computer in the future, but if something better comes along i'm going to buy that instead.

and yes better is an opinion folks, not a fact.

I had a PC for most of my life, I'm 28 and I've been using a PC since I was 14 years old (first I had a C64 and Amiga500 :woot: ). This summer I made the BIG step, sold my PC stuffs and bought and iMac.... and suddenly my life changed! I don't think I'll never buy a PC again in a long long time.

So, I should say yes, i'm a mac fanatic right now!!! :D

I think you should add a selection for: I am a Mac lover, but I currently do not own a Mac

I love Macs, they're wonderful machines, and if I had the money to get a new G5 and rebuy all of the software I use so I could use it on a Mac, I would definately purchase one. Since that's not realistic, I have to stick with a Wintel machine until I start making enough money to save up to switch to Mac ;) I almost did it recently, but I ended up not having nearly enough resources (money) to purchase all of the software I use again for use on a Mac (and I don't steal my software).

I was forced to vote *null*

    • The level of stupidity at Google and Microsoft is beyond belief. All they are doing by killing this is forcing people to jump over to Firefox and ditch them all together, therefore giving Firefox the market boost it needs to finally crush them all in the end.
