Neowin will have a review of "Sunset Overdrive" before it's released, and I want to know what would make the game a must-buy or must-avoid for you. Is there anything specific you want to know that hasn't been addressed in previews or info released about the game?

I'm on the fence with this game... Is it worth $60???

I can't give full impressions until the review is out, but I have what I feel is a very definitive answer after beating the main campaign. And if you don't trust my review, I'm sure there will be plenty of others for the game before it's released.

How big is SS:OD?  Is there at least 12+hrs of gameplay of the main campaign?

I'm completely on the fence on this so there are quite a few things I'd like to know;

Like above, how long is the main campaign?

Is there an actual story with objectives to complete?

Side missions that can make it last longer?

What do you think about replayability - can you play SP mulitple times and still enjoy it?

Is there any variation in the story or do objectives/missions just get rehased in new area's etc?

I've heard moving from SP > MP is very seamless, is it true and how do they achieve it?

What's on offer in MP - is it PVP, PVE, Gamemodes?

Is this a game built for SP or MP? For example I would say Battlefield, Call of Duty are largely built for MP with a SP thrown in?

Is there more than one playable hero character?  (Yes, I know you can create your own, but I found that odd.)

I'm already buying it cause it looks cheesy but fun.  :)

I think I have all your questions answered in the review so far. I can't discuss the embargo date, however -- sorry.

You play as your own character that you get to customize, yes. If you mean do you have allies, then yes, there are four factions that you get missions from in addition to a few other main characters/allies.

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.

A major compiler is used for both x86/x64 and WoA64 architectures. This also means that all core libraries are re-compiled accordingly which required some changes in the build scripts. One of the core libraries (cURL) has been updated to address vulnerabilities and a nasty linker error that was causing the need for a dedicated patch which could now be eliminated.
