Best Bitorrent Client?

Hey Guys,

I'm using Bitorrent++ and it's pretty damn good, although sometimes it stops downloading and sits at 0.0KB/s and I heard that if you try it in other clients it will work fine. Any idea whats causing that, and/or a better client to use.

just got ABC thanx to ur requests and im impressed, i actually get speeds that i consider worthwhile using a torrent for, being dial up i couldnt accept the previous speeds i got of 1-2kb, now i get standard 4.5kb and up!!! makes this worth while, now i can start downloading suse 9.0 :D thanx guys!!

lol I love these topics... you get to see all the ppl who slag off a certain network in past topics.. (crap, slow, no files etc etc) only to admit later in this what client they use to connect to it. :laugh:

I use Shadow Experimental BitTorrent Client. I find though any client is fast so long as you put it through your firewall it works a treat.

you configure it according to your connection speed and just download.

you won't max out your bandwidth ALL the time.

I would highly recommend Azureus. I first tried ABC which worked okay at first, but I later encountered problems with the connection and connecting to trackers. I have recieved download speeds ranging from 10kbs up to 60kbs using Azureus. My average download speeds are quadruple those of ABC. Also, Azureus works quite well with the firewall I'm using (ZoneAlarm Free). Lastly, you can still download a file with Azureus even though the tracker may be down. It does not totally rely on trackers to find parts of a file.

I'm pretty sure I've used em all, and I'd have to say the best one (for me) is defo "Burst!" which is based on shadow's experiment. Once set up correctly i.e folders for torrents in use and old one's and so on, it is in my opinion by far the best.
