Everyone can sing, it's just a question of if they can sing well or not. ;)

To be honest, I don't know. I don't put myself in to a situation where I sing in front of others normally (unless to say, "whats that song that goes <insert lyrics here>?") so I've never received any feedback.

Well, I'll agree with you there, but just because everyone can "sing" doesn't mean they can properly.

Remember, I just said:

I can sing xmas carols in tune, but regular songs I can't sing at all.

I used to sing in a choir as the lead singer for some songs when I was a teenager.  I haven't kept in practice since I have gotten older, but I do occasionally hit the same smooth notes and tones I had back then.

When you sing, you have to keep your voice in tune just like any other muscle in your body, if you don't you will lose shape and it will take longer to get back up to speed. :)

I'd like to think I can.

The funny thing is, I can sing xmas carols in tune, but regular songs I can't sing at all. Strange isn't it?

lack of practice really, you've probably been singing christmas carols all your life .... versus regular songs.

No, actually I don't, maybe once every few years I'll sing xmas carols, but only to myself when I'm alone.

Yes.  I enjoy singing and have a strong voice with food control, so I took lessons to understand how to control it properly.

Yep, proper singing is all about the the breathing, enunciation, etc not just wailing away in the shower. Although that is fun too! One of the first training exercises my instructor gave me was lying on the floor with a stack of books on my diaphragm/abdomen and I had to breath and raise them a certain height and hold, repeat.

    • I'm surprised they haven't found a way to fix that. As much as I don't like software wasting memory, a file manager is the kind of thing that makes sense to keep running in active memory for super-fast recall. I suspect that is why MS makes their File Explorer part of the main explorer.exe shell, so that it is guaranteed to always be running.
    • Seriously 1.8gig....so what. Any computer, if you are going to do serious work on, in 2026 should have a mimimum of 16gig and I would say 32-64gig is the way to go.
    • So again, you'd consider "I'm happy with my LG TV" to be a valid response to an article about PlayStation? I get the "I don't like any of their products" but how does that in any way invoke Linux? It just feels very random.
