We don't know the context of any of it. For instance, the uniforms and vehicle might by deliberately poor quality because they're amateurs trying to recreate the success of the original team. By the end they may have a new vehicle and really cool uniforms. As for the cast, it really depends on the chemistry on screen.

Nothing I've seen has me hugely optimistic but I'm certainly not going to write it off just yet. We haven't even had a trailer yet.

That's exactly what i theorized above, but in far less eloquent terms than you :p

Hmmm you do have a point.

Is it set in the 60's?

Based on the outfits and vehicle it looks like it could be set in the 60s-70s, which could explain some of the choices. There are some modern vehicles in some of the shots but they might not appear in the film, as they're not official shots.

Bill Murray has gotten the Ghostbusters call once again.

The actor will make an appearance in director Paul Feig’s upcoming reboot, a source close to the production confirmed to EW.

Murray played Dr. Peter Venkman in the original Ghostbusters (1984) and again in Ghostbusters II (1989), but has long been resistant to the prospect of starring in a third film. “It’s really hard to recreate something that was so beautiful, so wonderful,” he said last year.

Murray is the second original Ghostbusters cast member to score a cameo appearance in the new film. Last month, it was revealed that Dan Aykroyd shot a scene alongside Kristen Wiig.

Feig’s Ghostbusters, starring Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Chris Hemsworth, Michael K. Williams, and Neil Casey, hits theaters on July 15, 2016.
