I can't speak for the other designers here but for me at least, it would help if, those who require banners, signatures, avatars, and such like to try and observe the formula below when making a request.
It isn't a rule by any stretch of the imagination but it will help you get your 'goods' a little quicker! :)
Request:
State clearly whether it is a banner, a signature, an avatar, or anything else that you are asking for.
Size:
In pixels: Width x Height. (Example: 320x180)
Preferred Colours:
Try to be specific. To you green may be just green. To a designer, there are more greens than you may care to imagine. Try to fine-tune it to "light-green", "dark-green", or similar.
Wording:
Be very specific about the wording you would like on your design. Personally speaking, if you spell something incorrectly then it is not for me to correct it. I'll just assume that you know what you are asking for and carry on regardless.
Use an Example:
If you've already seen something that you would like your design to be similar to, point it out. (A direct link helps.)
Keep in mind that you won't find many designers willing to just copy any copyrighted materials. But it will at least help us to get the right area.
State Things That You Really Don't Like
I don't want anything flashing, or I don't want bright colours, or I hate black, or any statement like that does help more than you can imagine.
If any of the regular designers wants to comment on the above, or add/delete anything, let me know. Then I'll do a final version and see if I can bully a mod into making it sticky. We can only benefit from it I think.
draw.io Desktop 30.2.6 by Razvan Serea
draw.io desktop is a downloadable security-first diagramming application that runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux. Creating diagrams in the desktop app doesn’t need an internet connection. This is useful when you are disconnected or when you must create diagrams in a highly secure environment, where data protection is of the utmost importance. When you use the draw.io desktop app, your diagrams will be stored on your local device. Because this is a stand-alone application, also designed to run offline, there are no interfaces to cloud storage platforms available. Of course, you can still store your diagrams in folders that are synchronised to your cloud storage if you wish.
Easy-to-use diagram editor
The draw.io apps work just like the office and drawing tools you are used to using.
Drag and drop shapes from the shape libraries and drag to draw connectors between them.
Drag connectors to add waypoints and set a precise shape and position, or let them reroute automatically.
Double click and start typing to add a label to anything.
Create tables and swimlane flows with a familiar tool.
Style shapes and connectors with customisable palettes, sketch options, fonts and text formatting tools.
Search for shapes, including in open-source icon libraries.
Use our vast libraries of shapes and templates, organised into logical categories, to create a range of diagrams and infographics.
Generate diagrams from text descriptions using our smart templates.
Diagram faster with keyboard shortcuts.
