Is there a way to auto send an email to 3 people when a file has been updated?

Hi Guys,

 

Can anyone please tell me how I can do the following:-

 

I need a program that, will automatically send a pre-designed email to 3 different people when a text file has been updated.

 

Can anyone please tell me the easiest way that I can do this?

Can you explain with a tad more detail would a dropbox account or similar not suffice?

You could some wonky VS scripting in access, assuming this file will be centralized and hosted, to detect changes when they are written and then proceed to email people. You could even write in the change detected if you like spending time with VS. Technically you wouldn't need access, but it would allow for multiple openings of the same database.

Any easier way??? I used to use Automator on the PC to do this but I can't see how you do it on the Mac version

Why not use something like sharepoint or box that allows for check in/out of files and timestamps when changes are made?
