British heavyweight Tyson Fury will fight Wladimir Klitschko for the Ukrainian's world heavyweight titles in Dusseldorf, Germany on October 24.

Fury, who is unbeaten in 24 fights, successfully defended his European heavyweight title in London in March.

Klitschko, 39, is WBA, IBF and WBO champion and has not lost for 11 years.

Fury, 26, said on Twitter he could not wait for what would be the "best fight in heavyweight history" and added he would knock out Klitschko.

The fight will be a record-breaking 28th heavyweight title bout for Klitschko and his 19th defence in his second reign as world champion.

Speaking after he beat Bryant Jennings in his last fight in April, he said he was "ready" for Fury.

The 6ft 9in Manchester fighter beat Romania's Christian Hammer in his most recent contest.

Lets see if he backs out again; he was practically set to fight Wladimir a couple of years ago, but he went for David Haye instead (which never happened, due to Haye's injuries). I'm just gonna say bye bye to his perfect record now to save time.

Does Wladimir Klitschko have any following in the US at all? We know they don't, but if Boxing had any brains they would get this fight on CBS. When was the last time a heavyweight title match has been on network TV? Why Boxing is just letting MMA (which I prefer) continue to run them over is beyond me.

Because it will be a 12 round decision, with sound technical boxing, and therefore an even worse sale than a Floyd fight? Klitschko is the farthest thing from Mike Tyson there is.

Probaby but Boxing still should have a heavyweight title fight on network TV (it be free so no one will feel ripped off) sometime in the next decade...

For that you need an interesting champion to justify expending the air time. Maybe if Deontay Wilder starts fighting guys that matter...

Damn, those guys beat the ###### out of each other.

I want to see this guy fighting Klitchko

He already lost to Vitali, and badly. He was mauled to bits. Wladimir would crush him over 12 rounds.

Yeah but he is hilarious.

Boxing needs to be fun again.

Tyson was insane, which made it lots of fun to wach.

why they haven't merges to a unified championship title already?

You haven't followed boxing in quite a while, right?

Basically, to fight for a belt and make money, you have to pay belt fees. Different organizations have no interest in unifying their belts, since that means less money rolling in. So it will NEVER happen. Some guy will just have 20 or 30 belts. Look at Floyd, he got one of his belts stripped because he didn't want to pay the fee. He's so famous (and near retirement) that it doesn't matter in the big picture, but most guys on "normal" shows need a belt to get the money rolling from CBS and HBO. So... alphabet soup organizations are here to stay, sadly.

wow.  i am suddenly WAY more interested in the fight! :woot:

since i am not a huge fan, i always though that klichko fights were super boring.   nice to see a tall man with same/bigger reach then him, promising to make it personal :)

i will be betting against klitcho, btw.      not much, but i definitely put some money down.

If I were you, I'd save your money. Fury won't win; he's all talk and no trousers.

Yeah he's had no real competition whatsoever other than journey men and fat sacks of crap

Put it a lot better than I could. (Y) Anthony Joshua's in the same position, but unlike Fury, he's actually got the potential to be champion (plus, he's not an arrogant ######).

    • LOL, expect to take you seriously? The $7k myth? Ignoring the BILLIONS Qatar spends every year to influence American politicians and universities? Claim terrorists are "journalists" when they are members of Hamas and even have Hamas funerals with their pictures in Hamas garb. "Snipe kids" when they don't, meanwhile the other side sends kids into battle (and their mothers praise their martyrdom) and uses them as human shields and their schools as rocket launch sites and entrances to their tunnels - which they took all their foreign aid to build at the expense of their people. Base their operations at hospitals - violating every rule of war and making said hospital legitimate military targets? AND THEY KILL LGBTQ+ PEOPLE - listen to their own testimonies themselves, their interviews on what they do to them! They're proud of it! Your talking points are all BS and you know it. Stop defending another Islamic dictatorship that uses terror as their primary policy.

    • We wrote about it here https://www.neowin.net/news/browser-vendors-pen-open-letter-to-microsoft-saying-enough-is-enough/ the open letter itself is here https://browserchoicealliance.org/open-letter/
    • Someone forgot to mention EDR in the title ? I think I will not click anymore on the articles written by this author. All are click bait.
    • Browser vendors including Chrome, Firefox, Brave, and Vivaldi have jointly written an open letter to Microsoft saying enough is enough regarding Edge being pushed on Windows users without consent. Microsoft makes it difficult to change the default browser, promotes Edge throughout Windows 11, and has made the uninstall process unnecessarily complicated compared to other apps. Does anyone have more details on what exactly the open letter demands and whether any regulatory action is being considered? Also curious whether this could lead to antitrust investigations similar to what happened with Internet Explorer back in the day. Would love to hear from anyone following this closely.
